23 year old writer and teacher based in South East London, starting an MA in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway in September 2021.

I am interested in ghost stories: stories concerning exclusions and invisibilities in our historical, philosophical, and ecological narratives. My fiction writing practice is concerned with things which liquidate and deconstruct our notions of time and distinct ontology, things that fracture fixities and open new possibilities. In language's own sunken root system of etymological entanglement, 'grammar is the sediment of many forms of choice, layering over time into ideology' until metaphors recede, and nuance becomes buried. Just as 'our language needs uncovering', so too do histories and stories have their own burials and exhumations when narratives which are forcibly forgotten or ignored return in unexpected ways.
