How would we feel if I attempted to write a 21 Jump Street / Tom Hanson alternate universe story? As in it involves the characters but it has nothing to do with the TV show? Would you read it?

Also - I feel kind of bad that I started the book in 2022, it wasn't even halfway and I deleted the whole thing and decided to start over. (': 
          
          In all honesty I feel like it would have been completed by now if I wouldn't have put it off and had a writer's block. Why is writing so difficult?

          Little did I know that in the summer of 2022 I would discover this show, become obsessed, and end up trying to write fanfiction for it. <3 
          

I had one of the most bizarre dreams last night, and  I just know I have to turn it into a chapter for 23 Jump Street. I'm starting a Google docs draft right now.

@Colorwool omg. I just felt like because the beginning is so light-hearted and takes place in the present, I feel like the other published chapters were too heavy for it so I'd rather just start off light-hearted and then gradually slowly go  into the heavier topics lol but yeah same. Sometimes I feel like a chapter is good but then now it's like nah I need to start over. But hopefully you can find a good balance between the two to make your story good. It's already good! I like it! I don't mind the heavier topics since it takes place in season 3 of the show. Danika brings a lot of character to the situation going on. I love her. (:

!!  Because I changed the beginning of the story, I let my intrusive thoughts win and I unpublished all the written chapters I already had. Now I feel the need to really change a lot of things to Frankie and Timmy's assignments. To keep the book with the comedic relief of the Jump Street movies (and the first chapter) but also keep it with the seriousness of the show of the '80s. I want to have a good mix of both.
          The break-up will currently be in the back burner (though I'm still writing it!)
