howdy hello !
for those of you who followed me for my rosewood fanfic 'wait for it', this is for you.
i have made an abundance of changes to the book now that i've taken it down and found a new writing style, so i would like to discuss those changes.
one / title.
── yeah, i changed the title, it's not 'wait for it' anymore. i have now changed it to 'a girl worth fighting for' because mulan is an iconic movie and jamie's favourite disney movie is mulan in my brain.
two / dialogue.
── no, i am not following the dialogue word for word anymore. it's too exhausting and i get bored of it really quickly.
three / plot.
── i have also decided that i will also not be following the plot of the books to a t. it will have the same overarching plot, but i will not be writing every single scene there is.
the book has kind of started becoming a compilation of side quests for jamie and reader. which is fine, because it will satiate the hunger for jamie content better than just a re-written, re-imagined rosewood chronicles.
i will be keeping the big, important events in though like lottie getting kidnapped and the ingrid and julius vs rosewood gang showdown at tompkins manor.
four / cover.
── this is a very minor change compared to the one above. i'm currently against using any fanart of the characters on my covers because i don't want to breach the artist's rules on reposting and reblogging etc. obviously, i don't know all the right credits either, so i'd rather just avoid the possibility.
the new book should be great now that i'm having much more fun writing it.
