"TY TY!" I screamed as my boyfriend of two hours stood at the edge of the cliff, his shirt missing for no reason. I ran towards him, but when he turned around the sun reflected off his shiny abs and blinded me.

I fell to the ground and clutched my burned, teary eyes.

"Don't do this, Tyler! I love you! I have to be with you!"

Tyler smoldered and shook his head. "I'm sorry, baby, I can't be with you. I'm too dangerous."

"Bitch, I'm the Mary-Sue protagonist. Unless the author plans to pull a Divergent on this shitfest, I'm pretty much immortal."

Tyler shook his head and gazed out at the churning seas below. God, he was so sexy when he was being overdramatic and suicidal. I watched his golden curls flutter in the winds as he took another step.

          	  "TYLER!"

          	  Tyler jumped.

"NOOOO!" I screamed. "MY LIMITED-SHAPESHIFTER BOYFRIEND WITH COMPLETE CONTROL OF HIS ABILITIES AND PSYCHE IS DEAD!"

I heard someone conveniently walk up and put their hand on my shoulders to console me.

"Don't worry, Aesha," a familiar voice whispered. "He's alive. This ship doesn't sink so easily, I'm afraid."

"Really?" I whimpered. "Is it because his love for me was so strong he miraculously survived his suicide attempt so we could be together?"

"Nah bro, he's sick of you following him around like a creep but doesn't know how to tell you nicely. No means no, girl."

I sniffled. "He's alive! Tyler's alive! We'll be together after all!"

The officer who had arrested me a few chapters ago for stalking Tyler frowned. "Did you not hear me just say that he doesn't want to date you? He legit just called 911 to arrest you again. You're breaking the terms of your restraining order right now!"

But I couldn't hear him. I stumbled to my feet and looked down over the cliff, watching the waves hit the rocks. Tyler was nowhere to be found, but I couldn't help but smile.

          	  My soulmate was alive.

Thanks for checking out Queen of Thieves - I hope you enjoy it. (And really cool username, it reminds me a bit of a trilogy one of my friends gave me).
