          	I'll be waiting until the strike is *officially* over to post more, but this seems like it may truly and finally be the end of a long and weary battle. Congratulations to the writers of the WGA for their hard work and perseverance! May this new deal bring hard earned fair wages and rights to all of the people affected.

Hi everyone! 
          
          Good news! The studios are FINALLY negotiating with the WGA (Writer's Guild of America)! 
          
          With an end to the strike finally on the horizon, I wanted to send a brief status update. I am reaching the end of my first draft of the sequel to The Elemental. When the strike ends, I will have a new chapter of The Legend of Sarah Taylor ready to go, along with the opening of the long awaited sequel! (Title TBA)
          
          Thank you everyone so much for all the votes, follows, and comments. I am so excited to share the next part of Johnny and Alyssa's story with you all! Keep an eye on your notifications in the coming weeks (and fingers crossed that the negotiations are real this time, and that our fellow writers can finally get a good, fair deal for their hard work! <3)

Hi everyone! 
          
          The Elemental Part 2 is in the works! I have posted the opening bit to my Patreon for early access. As I don't have an official title or a cover yet, I'm not able to post it here to Wattpad, but I'm working on it and I'm hoping to have something to post here for you all within the next few weeks. 
          
          In the meantime, I am still working on Sarah Taylor's story - the spinoff prequel to Elemental - so please go check that out! It's a more adult-oriented story centered around the romance between her and Johnny's father and the setup of the events that lead to The Elemental. While it's still a WIP, I am actively posting chapters here as they are finished.

            I apologize for all the delays. I have a few chapters of the sequel ready, but with the writer's strike going on right here where I live, I am waiting until that's settled to post any new content. In the meantime, I'm still working on it, so whenever the greedy ghouls at the top of the Hollywood decide to pay their hardworking writers fair wages, there will be regular content updates again!
            
            (If you don't know about the WGA strike in America, over 11,500 writers in the Writer's Guild have been on strike since May over fair wages and protections around the use of AI. In solidarity, I've chosen to join them and I won't be publicly posting any content during the strike!)

Ok wow!! i loved your book! i have a love-hate moment with the end though. I love it so much but hate the way it ended!! nothing to do with your writing it was great you’re a very good and creative author, i was just waiting for a different ending. I’m usually not into these kind of books but i loved this one. It had my emotions all over the place and kept me on edge. I cant wait till the next book is complete!

            I was going back and forth on the end for a while. There is a draft somewhere of an alternate ending where when she pulls the trigger, it kills him - but it didn't feel right. As much as I wanted the world rid of his evil and as satisfying as those two seconds felt, she wouldn't have been able to move on from being the one to end it. I couldn't move the plot forward from that point at all, so I had to rewrite it. I went through a few different versions - even one where Johnny stepped in for her! - before I settled on this one.
            
            To me it felt bittersweet, not quite satisfying - like a pause, waiting for something else to happen. Waiting for me to flesh out the sequel, I guess! The good news is, I have a true ending in mind. It's possibly going to take a while to get the ball rolling there, I have been working a lot and I'm still struggling with cover and title ideas, but there is finally a coherent plot idea for the sequel!

Holy shit. I just read Elemental and-
          Wow. Just wow.
          It was so incredible and a wild ride of emotions. I cried and laughed within the same five minutes.
          You should look into publishing some day, I’ve read published and famous novels half as good as your writing.

@IzzyWritesThings I should probably add something in the summary - but if you liked the world of The Elemental, The Legend of Sarah Taylor is the WIP prequel! It's got a different feel to it, but it's set in the same universe ~20 years before the events of The Elemental. 
            
            Thank you again for your kind comment, you seriously brought me to tears. It makes me so happy to hear that someone is enjoying my work!
