could you imagine if award shows for music and media gave out awards based off of popularity on the radio and streaming service and not talent and creativity

after listening & injecting cowboy carter into music veins earlier, i have determined everyone criticizing that win has either (a) admitted to not listening to it and (b) thinks album of the year is determined by streaming numbers & what album was more popular and (c) also exist on a very specific side of the internet of mostly just white people cause you're telling me you didn't know the beyonce album was breaking records the day it released??
          
          anyway, my fav songs were probably her blackbird cover, daughter, amen, texas hold 'em, & 16 carriages — i got a few on some oc playlist already.

i am of the firm belief you can't fully criticize something until you consume it. you might be going off of talking points you've seen other people say, but *i* know what I'm talking about when I criticize something — the last thing you'll catch me doing it judging the contents without knowing what I'm talking about
