Hello (:

@thissufffering I'm so sorry... I haven't been on Wattpad for months, so I didn't see your reply... :'(

But no, I'm lazy too! So I don't write new words down. I do sometimes look words up or look for synonyms. Searching for synonyms is also one of the main things I still do to keep my writing varied. Usually, I can express myself in English, but I stick to the same words. By looking up synonyms, I can shake things up every once in a while.

A short story is a good place to start! I think you will see that you will be learning a lot while writing, but also while editing. Making mistakes is not a bad thing but a necessary thing! I think it's so exciting that you started this journey, I'm interested to see how you'll find writing in a different language :) Let me know how the writing is going!

My first English story was a novella, All The Things We Lost, which I started writing on January 1st, 2019 (which is an easy date to remember ;) ). In hindsight, I definitely wish I had started with a short story, because there was still so much to learn! I've since also moved to an English household, which also sped up my learning process. But yeah, it's been nearly three years now!

@originalverbivore Hey :) I am incredibly sorry, I didn't saw your reply until now! I don't even know how I missed it, because I know I was checking my notifications for your answer :c
I try to memorize the choice of words other authors use to describe certain things, too. Do you, like, write them down or something like this? Because sometimes I am contemplating to do so, but the laziness is stronger. :(
Yeah, I see, from time to time I'm a bit demotivated, while I am struggling to express things properly. . . I feel like I don't have the vocabulary to write things I want to, if this makes any sense?
I am currently writing a short story in English, I mainly started it just to write something in English without the need to write a full book and imagine an elaborate storyline. I am often re-reading the things I wrote, always finding some mistakes or phrases I change. But I have to say, I am sort of content, because after editing I feel like it gets a tiny bit better :)
How many years do you already write English stories?

@thissufffering Yes, it definitely does! While writing, I'm often wondering how to put certain things into words, and while I'm reading books by other authors, I pay attention to how they have done it. Reading continues to be my biggest teacher -- not just to make the step to writing in English, but long after, too! My writing used to be very stale and I used much of the same words over and over again, but through reading, I learned synonyms and sayings to make my writing more creative. It is a big learning process, and I still don't believe I'm quite there yet, but it definitely gets better! It might just take some time -- as it would in any other language too :)
Still, the first step is to start writing! Don't worry about getting it right at the start. Your writing's only going to improve from here :D Have you already started writing in English or is it something you want to do?

Just noticed you've given my story a chance. So I'm dropping by to let you know that I truly appreciate it and hope you'll find my work worth-it. Feedback and comments are more than welcome. Once again, thank you so much for making my day better <3

thissufffering

@ScarlettBlackDaisy Yes, definitely, until now I admire your characters, their vulnerability, and your choice of words, this really gets me :) At the very end I'll certainly leave a proper feedback, but until now I really love the music you choose (I know it hasn't mucht to do with the story so far, but anyways). Thanks a lot for your comment <3

Hey there! Do you mind checking out my story "The Choice She Made"? It is a dystopia about a world where childbirth is outlawed. Even though its sci-fi, it is also action, romance, and mystery. If you're into that, I'd really appreciate you giving it a read or two :) You never know, you might love it.
          Thanks in advance xx

TeaAddict05

Wie siehts eigentlich mit dem award aus? (:

thissufffering

@TeaAddict05 wir sind gerade noch am bewerten, bzw die freundin, mit der ich das geplant habe, ich noch dabei (:
