Claus Vistesen has several years' experience as a non-fiction writer for independent macroeconomic reasearch firms, and is currently employed as Chief Eurozone Economist for Pantheon Macroeconomics. He has also written opeds, academic articles and on his blog Alpha.Sources he collects all his material and thoughts on the economy and financial markets.

His fiction is eclectic, and mainly consists of short stories, but he is also working on a couple of novels. His first published work was the short story Inflection Point. He tries to read as widely as possible to find new ideas and challenge himself, and will always accept suggestions on new sources of inspiration. As long as the writing is good, he will read almost anything. As a young reader he plowed through the Dragon Lance and Forgotten Realms fantasy novels, before university demanded that he devote his time to the arcane art of economics and business. He is currently leafing through several anthologies of new and old short stories, but also has plenty of unfinished novels on his shelf. Ian McEwan is one of his favourite authors, he also enjoys reading David Leavitt, David Liss, John Updike and many others. Jessie Burton also deserves mention for her fabulous debut novel The Miniaturist.

He is Danish, but currently lives in the U.K. where he has been for five years; first in Hull, then in London and most recently in Newcastle. He loves cars, good coffee, is an avid Chelsea FC fan and when he is not writing he runs or practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
