Hi,

I have just finished my sci-fi/English classics mash up trilogy.

          1. Pride and Prejudice and Superheroes. (133,650 words)
          2. Skylar Holmes: The Last Hope.(152,200 words)
          3. Starship Wuthering Heights. (152,100 words)

These are now the pre-published versions and have been edited to completion. I have kept to a chapter word length of less than 2,500 words to make the novels easier to read.

Note that although all of these books can be read without reference to the others (they are stand-alone novels), there is a common theme throughout the of the race called the Equalisers. In the third and final book we find out who the Equalisers are and why they use the methods they use. Particularly as the book concerns the Equalisers themselves. They have to save themselves, but can still only give themselves an equal fighting chance to do so. It might be of note that the novel concerns a virus that has already destroyed humanity--yet the Equalisers still attempt to save humanity.

I would still be very grateful to any readers who could find any mistakes. Just put the mistake in a chapter comment.

          Many thanks,

          T. J. P. CAMPBELL

@MilejdyVan I try to write my books with reasonably straightforward grammar, much in the style of summary like Asimov. I tried to allow the story to speak for itself. Although I sometimes attempt to be clever with words. I usually do it within the dialogue of the characters.

I think most of my errors are caused by speech to text errors, so you would probably have a good chance of finding them. Things like where, were, we're and their, there and they're might be found. Also, I do sometimes employ repetition (as you spotted with the word "flick"). The only time I do not avoid repetition is when any attempt not to is simply an act of what is known in the trade as elegant variation. I sometimes use name tags when they are not strictly necessary, because I feel they are mainly invisible to the reader and make the prose easier to follow. When there are only two people in the same. I tend not to repeat my name tags.

Anyway, I will go through Burning Rose and see if I can find anything, and add some feedback.
