Hey guys,
I don't know if anyone even remembers I exists or still cares about my work but I wanted to let everyone know I'm going to be taking down most of my works on this account and creating a new one. I've decided to fully pursue a serious writing career and I'm hoping to build a bigger audience. I've had this account for so long and I'm thankful for the memories it's given me but I believe it's time to start fresh.
If anyone is interested in the new stuff I'm working on you can follow my new account at @laurenkatherine44
There will be a lot of poetry (I mean A LOT and soon, I write everyday now), hopefully short stories, and eventually I'll be rewriting a few novels I've started on this account.
Thank you to everyone who has given me encouragement and support here, it's meant so much to me. I wish everyone the best and hope to see you on my new account! :)

If anyone sees this... pls comment lol
What do you guys do if you get bogged down by all your old/unfinished writing?
I have so many stories I wanted to write and loved what I’d written so far but just never finished. Then when I’m looking for inspiration for something new I’ll read my old drafts and it does help me with actually wanting to write or feeling like I can, but it also just makes me want to combine what I’m writing or work on old stories instead.
          Any tips?

@toosober That's okay! I totally thought the same thing, oh God... my published book is a collection of short stories I did because I was pretty desperate to work on something shorter. Personally NaNoWriMo can help with long-project fatigue; if I only work on it once a year, and then at high speed, then it's okay...

So it's totally not something out of reach for you. If you don't want to write long-term, that's okay, and sometimes you do find that what you were thinking of works better as a short story (I had a novel idea I couldn't figure out how to write until I cut it into a short story, and then it flowed naturally.) Don't be afraid to experiment! I also like using beat sheets (google "save the cat beat sheet" for my favorite) to write; they help a lot with organization. Oftentimes I'll think "hm, something is missing," and when I chart it out Save The Cat-style, I realize I was missing the Dark Night of The Soul or something. Laying out your scenes against a template can help a lot!

I'm glad I could help ^_^ my message box is open anytime!

@yvesdot thank you so much! This was really helpful! I feel like my main problem as a writer is having so many scenes for a novel in my head but then not knowing how to piece them together or fill in the details so I try my best but then I drop the entire idea and move onto something else but come up w the same problem. As for my original statement (about unfinished writing etc) I feel like I work kind of the same way you mentioned, working on one project, then another and so on but one of my other biggest problems is just getting bored. Idk honestly it just makes me think of what an amateur I am and how tedious I find a lot of the detailing that I think would make my writing better... which also leads me to think that maybe novels or longer works aren’t something I should be writing

Oof; that was really long. I'm sorry! I just thought it was odd nobody else had said anything, and I had... some thoughts.

You guys I’ve had like five wattpad accounts, I started the first one in 2013-2014 and deleted it, then started one before this account, then this account and so on but I’ve stuck with this one. I deleted my first account years ago but ever since then I’ve been looking for one of the books I read on that account and it doesn’t seem to exist anymore and every time I think about it it drives me crazy ok sorry for this long post but had to get that out bc I was searching for it again lmao
