I believe that our imaginations are unfathomably powerful and that even made-up stories can lead to meaningful change in the real world: change in how we see and treat ourselves, others, and the natural landscape around us. I write about fantastical people, creatures, worlds, and situations to represent the underrepresented. I write to advocate for the environment; for social justice; for love, peace, and empathy; and for a world where reading and writing are not privileges but are accessible forms of leisure and/or expression for everyone who wishes to embrace them.
