BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COVID-19 BREAKS

Everland by Wendy Spinale: It's a story about how London has been destroy do to Bombs and disease and the only people to survive are children. Gwen Darling and her siblings Joanna and Mikey have to hide away from Captain Hanz Otto Oswald Kretschmer or otherwise known as Captain Hook. When Joanna is taken Gwen meets up with Pete and Belle to try and save her sister.

Any of Disney's twisted tales I read the Mulan one and it was great.

Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt: It's based back during the Vietnam War where a 7th grade boy has a teacher who's out to get him, while his father is trying to keep his business alive.

If your into Poetry books try the author Sharon Creech.

Dear Evan Hansen is such an amazing novel whether you know the musical or not. It is present day based about a boy who deals with Anxiety and Depression and makes a lie to help himself and others. It is very deep I warn you, you might even cry but it is so good.

John Green will always be recommended but he is a little more mature of an author.

Boy in the Stripes Pajamas by John Boyne: A WW2 novel and a classic where a boy of a German officer meets a Jewish boy in a concentration camp. It's one of those books that's make you feel like your mind has exploded.

Lord of the Flies: If you didn't read this in school, it is an amazing read. A bunch of boys get stranded on an island and have to fight to survive. What happens though is that it gets a little worse than Lost in my opinion, but I only watched the first season.

My current read is Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit: it is a very short novel about a family that lives forever, but their life changes when they meet curious little Winnie Foster.

I also always recommend any Rick Riordan book or Hunger Games, but you guys already heard of those so I'm just trying to bring something new.
