I haven’t been active on this account (I promise I’ll make my return soon, maybe sooner than later ) but I wanted to check in and see how y’all are doing during this health and police brutality pandemic. It’s frustrating to see more black people dying at the hands of cops and knowing that the justice system was not made for us and more than likely won’t help us (read: Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, the countless number of wrongful convictions, and so many more names). As disheartening as it is to know that basic, equal rights don’t exist in the US (and poor POC are dying at higher rates from COVID-19), we can’t stay silent and allow racism to win. It might seem like every institution, every system, every fucking thing is against us, but we have each other. Always speak out against injustice. Don’t be silent or neutral. Fight against racism and white supremacy in anyway that YOU see fit. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
