Hey, my fellow Wattpadders who are unhappy with Wattpad,
          Most of us know that Wattpad is removing the private messaging feature from 6th May. As to what I think about this...
          
          *deep breath*
          
          IT'S ATROCIOUSLY CRUEL AND EXTRAORDINARILY UNFAIR!
          
          Wattpad's reason is that it wants to curb the 'cyber-bullying' and stalking that occurs through PM. But seriously, eliminating the medium of bullying is not going to stop the bullies! Wattpad should find a better way than taking away the only place on this platform where we can interact one-on-one. I've met so many wonderful people through this feature, made best friends with them, and stayed connected from across countries. You cannot talk like that on your message board. I don't want the only medium I stay in touch with my friends to be gone.
          
          Direct messaging is one of the few things that makes this platform so different from the rest of the reading platforms. You can read or write anywhere. But getting to know people, actually forming a circle of friends, that is something unique to Wattpad. We don't want this luxury gone!
          
          If you're with me, then sign this petition. A lot of people have signed it already, and I hope it helps to stop this new step that Wattpad is taking to destroy the platform it built.

Since many of you have expressed their desire to me to read this story to the end (I'm so touched by that, thank you everyone), Against the Dark has had an update. Check it out!

Just realized that AGAINST THE DARK - A DRAMIONE FANFICTION HAS BEEN SHADOWBANNED by this new and exceedingly stupid Wattpad policy. 
          
          I have no idea what to do next, but since I guess my story isn't visible to readers anymore until they actually come to my profile and see the story, the book will gather next to null new readers. Maybe I'll leave this idiotic platform after all. Go to other platforms where the makers have more brains than hay in their heads.
          
          What can I say? I'm honestly infuriated. I can't even figure out the reason why this was done to my book, seeing as I have trigger warnings at the beginning of each mature chapter - I don't even know if those chapters count as mature since they just include slight violence, but I still got the warnings up. I have the 'Mature' setting on my book, but I guess Wattpad is just going berserk.
          
          So, the important bit here is that IF THERE ARE ENOUGH PEOPLE WHO'D LIKE TO READ THE STORY TO THE END, I'LL POST THE NEW CHAPTERS LIKE I'VE DONE SO FAR - weekly updates on Fridays at midnight. But I think I will leave this place after all. The writer gets demotivated if there aren't any readers for the story.
          
          This is such a shock for me since I've worked hard on the book and had aspired to see it to the end. But really, what IS the problem with Wattpad??
