I find Eliza X Hamilton underrated tbh
They're like blue and red; passive and outstanding. I wish people could see how much they actually loved each other. Whenever you say something about Eliza and Hamilton, you immediately get the ''B UT-- B U - HE PROBS DIDN'T LOVE HER AT ALL'' which I find to be ironic because they sometimes link some Tumblr post, but a lot of things on (especially) Tumblr and the internet are faked in favor of one side. I see this happen often when they try to defend Jamilton, Lams, and other gay ships. Their other argument is that ''Eliza was too weak and boring like seriously who needs help to get a date'' which isn't even an argument, it's kinda just blind hate thrown at Eliza in hopes for the other person to suddenly agree with them.
Although I can agree that Laurens COULD make a good fit for Hamilton, Eliza was and is an outstanding woman that Alexander deserved. Whilest she taught their kids about love and reflection, Alexander was the big boss who showed them respect and discipline. The fact that, after Hamilton's death, she could see what he was seeing all along (slavery, corruption, etc.) and took it upon herself for her husband should be more then enough to prove you or anyone that she was a woman of great honor and kindness. I hate it that everyone seems to ignore her so much despite her being such a dramatic and critical play in the life of Alexander.
She loved him, saw beyond his empty pockets, saw a legacy, forgave him after everything he had done, understood him even if it meant hurting herself, raised his 8 kids, lost one and forgave him for cheating on her AND she continued his work after his death is enough to tell you that Eliza wasn't just the generic rich girl in love but an actual sensation of kindness, understanding and undying love.
