When I popped out into the hide-out, I started coughing, holding my throat.
"What the heck, Dabi! You could have warned me!" I shouted, still coughing. "Oh, shut it." He stalked up to me and grabbed me by my shirt.
"You threw him back the journal." I felt his hand getting warmer.
I tried thrashing him away, but his grip was as tight as ever.
"Now, I've told you before. I don't care about you or those damn UA brats, but nothing, and no one is getting in the way of me and my own agenda." He slammed my body against a wall.
The pain was echoing throughout my body.
"Dabi. That's enough. Hear her out."
Dabi let me go making my body thump on the ground.
"They don't deserve this. They aren't doing anything wrong!" I shouted.
"I was going to give you the journal, Shigaraki. After seeing Aizawa and Midoriya in so much pain. After seeing people who seemed like they cared and were worried about me in so much pain. I couldn't go through with it! I can't do that to Midoriya or the rest of UA."
Shigaraki said nothing but was keeping an intense gaze on me. I saw him take a look at Dabi before they both nodded their heads at one another.
Before I knew it, I was being dragged into another room.
The walls were a faded grey. The wallpaper has been long torn away. The smell in the room was all too familiar to me. The floor was ice cold. I never knew a room could hold such negative energy.
But the past appearance of the room didn't matter anymore. The walls would be coated with a fresh new paint of blood. The familiar scent was death. The cold floor will be replaced with a warm red liquid.
"Where are they, huh?" Shigaraki lifted my lifeless head up by my hair. "There no one to be found. They don't care about you. We do."
Lies. Lies. Lies...
"Dabi and I went through a lot to try and get you whipped into shape."
Bullshit.
"If your friends down at UA really were worried, wouldn't they have found you by now?" Shigaraki let my head go, letting it slam into the warm pool of my own blood.
"Don't hurt them." I managed to say.
I heard a deep laugh come from Dabi. He sent a swift kick to my stomach, hurling my way. I grabbed my stomach in pain, coughing up more blood.
"You really think they'll all be true heroes, Y/N?"
Midoriya will.
"Midoriya is obsessed will overcoming his idol, All Might. What will become of him if and when he doesn't. His true drive is the fame it will bring him."
No, no, no! That's not it! He's honest!
"Think about it. He's obsessed with trying to rein in his power."
His body can't keep up with his quirk! He needs to train!
"He wants to save everyone! What if he can't save you?"
He will!
"Y/N. No one is ever coming for you. We're all you have, remember? You were begging Dabi to let you see us. Now that you have, didn't you miss us?"
I can't feel my body. Every muscle I try to move just aches.
"What will happen when they find out every sin you've committed. Will they still see you as one of their own? Face it, Y/N. You only know us. You belong to us. You don't fit in anywhere else."
