Fight!

"We got this, don't worry" Yuji holds my shoulders and leans down, making me take a bit of his weight.

"Of course we do.." I sigh and to him, I look uneasy. I feel uneasy because this is the first event that I'm doing for school, and I've never been to school besides this astounding one. I was literally at Yuji's school for like two days before my life changed completely.

"It's just a game, don't stress it" He ruffles up my hair and stands up straight.

"I guess... I just have a feeling it won't be that simple" I cross my arms and before Yuji could respond Megumi walks up from behind.

"Itadori, Zero" The both of us turn around to him as he takes a halt. "You guys okay?" Fushiguro asks us.

Yuji plasters a smile on his face "Yeah, sounds like we've got a big role, but we can manage" Yuji looks to me by his side and rests his arm on my shoulder.

"Exactly" I nod.

"I'm not talking about that. Something happened, right?" The moment Fushiguro pushed further with his question, my memory of finding Yoshino reappears in my head. The memories of tears belonging to Yuji's shed and late night talks about our mistakes punched me in the gut.

"Huh? Nothing happened" I furrow my eyebrows, seeming believable in Megumi's eyes.

"Yeah, don't know what you're talking about" Yuji smiles wide, though Fushiguro has seemed to catch on our lie.

Yuji's smile disappears and he looks to me before speaking. "Okay, it did" He scratches the back of his head, admitting it. "But it's true that we're fine... right?" Yuji holds my shoulder and I nod.

"In fact, because of what happened, I don't want to lose to anyone" Yuji adds.

"Okay, then" Fushiguro walks past us from in between. "I don't really want to lose, either" Fushiguro finishes and walks to our group of students.

"What do you mean, 'really'? You already got sent rolling around once!" Nobara furrows her eyebrows at the emotionless boy, she turns and begins to cheer with her fist up in the air. "Overwhelm them! Let's thoroughly trounce them! For Maki's sake, too!"

"Please stop that" Maki says, obviously annoyed.

"Pollack roe" Inumaki adds.

"Yes! For Maki's sake!" Panda exclaims as well.

"Don't say stuff like that" Maki didn't like their encouragement, though it encouraged both myself and Yuji.

He smiles, looking towards them, though, I smile looking to see him happy. We run up to the group.

"Well, in that case, let's win" Yuji says cheerfully.

"What are you taking front for?" Maki kicks Yuji, causing him to trip over and reach out for help. I take his arm but soon I get dragged down with him.

I fall on my back and groan loud, getting a sharp pain in my back. "Ugh, Yuji" He slowly gets up and smiles down at me "I'm craving a kiss" He whispers near my ear before fully getting up.

I turn red, taking his help, but throwing him down in the process. I run off laughing uncontrollably. I didn't want the group to see me flustered anyways.

"Oi! I'm not done with you!" Yuji follows me into the forest, I hide behind a tree, waiting for the perfect moment to scare him.

"(Y/n)... Where are youuu" I giggle almost exposing myself. "There you are" A low growl that I didn't expect comes from the boy. He scares me instead and brings an arm by my side above me, placing it on the tree.
