A loud screech caused my eyes to shoot open. I slammed my hand down on my clock, silently cursing. I hate that clock. The sound annoys me. I looked at the time.

It's 10:19 in the morning.

Crap. Aunt May is at her doctors appointment and won't be back until 4:30. The doctors office is a long way away. I'm late for school already. Not only that, but I'm banged up from patrol last night. I can't even move. Hopefully flash won't hurt anyone else in my absence.

My phone dinged.

Hold on. I'm sorry. Normally I don't talk to people. But how was your number able to communicate with mine?

ME
Not sure what the implication is for that. But I have my phone upgraded against firewalls in case I need to contact someone in emergencies. My AI goes through all firewalls existing by finding them through the internet and it takes them down. It's a good chance that I got past your firewall unintentionally weeks, maybe even months ago.

Interesting. I doubt that last part though. My firewalls would be extremely hard to get by. It's still impressive though.

no, trust me. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I saw the notification for your device being accessible a while ago during school.

Yeah, sorry. Don't take any disrespect. I'm the smartest in my class. Your not the first one I've gotten past. And I didn't go against your firewalls with the intention of humbling or embarrassing you. I looked at your layout. All your programming structure was very cool and impressive.

Yes, it is a good school. I won't be telling you where, for safety reasons, but I didn't learn this at school
Yes. I SHOULD be at school. Currently, I'm taking a leave of absence because of an injury.

I looked up and down my body. Im still covered in wounds, my increased healing is taking longer than expected. There was still a open stab wound that was bleeding through the bandage that I hastily added last night after patrol.
