sadness lies between all of us.

some if us try to run,
some of us fight,
and some of us commit to a wonderless sleep.

sadness tries to drown me,
and halfway through the river of tears,
a burning light sends shock through me.

telling me that sadness,
needs attention too.

it tells me that running from it,
burns even more...it hurts even more.
