JI PYEONG POV / 3RD PERSON
Ji Pyeong could hardly believe that Dal Mi had forgiven him, and was hugging him right now.
When Dal Mi let go they gazed into each other's eyes for a few seconds and smiled.
Ji Pyeong felt as if his heart had burst.
"I'm sorry." He said again.
"I've forgiven you."
"I know."
They sat down on the couch and held each other's hands. It felt as if a moment was a lifetime. For just a minute they forgot that their were other people in the world.
Then the front door opened. It was In Jae and her mother. They had groceries in hand. Ji Pyeong and Dal Mi stood up, but their hands were still latched.
"Director Han, what are you doing here?" Her eyes drifted down to where Ji Pyeong and Dal Mi's fingers were interlaced.
"Dal Mi, what is this?"
"Allow me to explain Miss Seo." Ji Pyeong said
Dal Mi tugged gently at his arm."I will explain." She jutted "Ji Pyeong is Do San or rather, he wrote the letters and used the name Do San."
"Why did he use a fake name? And are you two dating?"
"I used a fake name for various different reasons." Ji Pyeong was not about to get into his childhood insecurities right now.
In Jae and Dal Mi's mother started now.
"Well I'm rather more curious about the second question. Are you two dating?"
"Yes." They both answered back. Then they chuckled and grinned back at each other. Ji Pyeong's smile was incredibly wide. He wished he could bottle a bit of his happiness and save it for the future. He could hardly believe the night before he was in blubbering tears. Now he felt as if he would never cry again.
Grandma came out of her room when she heard the commotion. "In Jae, Ah-hyun, is that you? Did you bring stuff to make dinner?"
"Yes it is us. Grandma did you know about Director Han and Dal Mi?"
"Yes I did. Now let's get started on dinner. Ji Pyeong, you'll be joining us right?"
"Yes, if it's not an inconvenience."
"Of course not good boy!"
Ji Pyeong smiled.
"Will you need my help at all with the meal?"
"No need, you're our guest! Dal Mi and you may talk some more in her room if you wish."
Ji Pyeong would love to see the room in which Dal Mi spent her time, but he didn't want to make her uncomfortable.
"Sure. This way Ji Pyeong."
He really was going to her room. Why was he nervous?
"It's a bit of a mess, don't mind it."
Her room was fairly large, but was still rather cozy and disorganized in a just "Dal Mi" way. He normally liked everything to be perfectly done, but maybe he loved her room just because of the idea that it was hers. He could just envision her sitting at her desk and composing the letters. Or standing by her mirror deciding what to wear. Just these little thoughts made him happy.
"I know you didn't come here intending to meet my mother... And now my whole family knows we're dating..."
"It's quite alright. We would've had to tell them eventually. I hope you plan on keeping me around for a long long time."
"Oh, I do." They laughed. Ji Pyeong pulled Dal Mi towards him.
He pecked her cheek.
Was the world collapsing?
DAL MI POV / 3RD PERSON
Ji Pyeong had totally just kissed Dal Mi's cheek. And Dal Mi was internally freaking out.
She wrapped around him once more and their bodies swayed slightly as they hugged. They pulled apart. Dal Mi wanted to kiss him. Like really wanted to kiss him. But it would have to wait. Somehow dinner was already done. How long had they stood, holding each other? Was it really that long of a time?
