JI PYEONG POV / 3RD PERSON
Workload was piled up and emails were filling Ji Pyeong's inbox. Dal Mi was at her own office at Sandbox, working hard on new promotion for her companies self driving car. Ji Pyeong closed out his email and took a sip of his bitter black coffee.
"Director Han, we have a meeting with Cheongmyeon Company at 4pm." Dong Chun told him.
"Why was I not made aware of this earlier?"
"CEO In Jae just contacted me and wanted us to meet with her and CEO Dal Mi to update us on what the investment money has gone towards"
"Alright. I'll be ready then."
"You're not mad?"
"No, why would I be?"
Dong Chan was slightly taken aback by this, but Ji Pyeong had become more and more friendly and agreeable in recent days. He was still a straight to the point, direct person. He never sugarcoated things. But he was getting better at rolling with the punches and being more positive. Ji Pyeong didn't noticed this change in himself, but others around him did. Sometimes he would even smile.
At the meeting, they were gathered around a fairly large table. Ji Pyeong wore one of his best suits and had his hair combed back. Ji Pyeong sat dangerously close to Dal Mi and feared that he would forget that they were in a business environment and kiss her right there. He held back, because they had an audience.
"So what are the updates you wished to share, CEO In Jae?"
"Yes, I've gathered everyone here to discuss where the allotted money was spent." In Jae stood and gestured to the PowerPoint presentation she had up on the projector.
"As you can see we have spent 30 million won on further research. 20 million won went to marketing, which my sister CEO Dal Mi is in charge of. The rest of the allotment went to installing the programs into different cars. We will be having a test run with each car this coming Thursday, I will email you each more information on that if you wish to attend. Now, CEO Dal Mi has a few words about marketing."
"Hello Mr.Park, Director Han." Her voices pitch slightly changed when she said Director Han. Ji Pyeong noticed it. Her hands were mindlessly fiddling with the folder she had in her hand as she spoke. Is she nervous? She shouldn't be, didn't she present at Sandbox a few years ago? Theres only three of us in here, I hope she's okay. Ji Pyeong thought. But as soon as she started in talking about her business, any nerves she had appeared to have melted away. "With marketing, we are first trying to get our product out to the regular everyday people. We believe once we promote this out to people and get it out on the road on unofficial non-trial capacity, we will be able to slowly start selling our product to those with disabilities. Our main goal was for this to be for people who are unable to drive due to some issues they may have, for example being partially blind. But we have to show that this product is safe in the hands of anyone first."
"It's a brilliant idea CEO Dal Mi. The marketing is starting well then?"
"Yes Director Han. We have already started advertising that we are looking for volunteer test drivers. If everything is approved legally, our product should be out on the road within 1 to 2 years."
Ji Pyeong nodded reassuringly to Dal Mi. He smiled slightly at her, as if to say: Good job, I'm proud of you.
Somehow, in that little slip of time that Dal Mi spoke, Ji Pyeong realized that no one else in the world could adore her as much as he did. He hoped no one ever would. How blessed he was to see her eyes light up with passion over work, and to also see those same eyes light when seeing the ocean, or kissing his bare neck and face. No one could so profoundly love her in the way that he did.
His heart was not safe from the pull of her smile.
