I was just doing my makeup when I heard my phone ringing on my bed. I quickly shot up from my chair and grabbed it just to see my best friends name on it. We shared a apartment and she was at work so I was home alone.

"Girl! Are you ready for your first day at university?" she shrieked in my ear, so I had to hold my phone a away from my ear. "Yes, I am and there is no need to yell, you know?" I told her.

"I'm sorry. Anyways do you know what you want to wear?" Lilith asked.

"I don't know yet. I was thinking of wearing my black mom jeans, a white crop top and my black and white flannel." I mumbled while looking thru my closet.

"I think you should go with your blue jeans because the weather is pretty good today." Lilith works in a boutique. She likes fashion and styling people so that's the perfect job for her. But I am kind of sad that she didn't want to study at a university with me, she said she would rather work than spend more years of her life in a school.

I can't complain, first I also didn't want to go but then it became a dream to study at oxford.

So here I am, not totally happy but it is how it. I feel like something is missing and deep down I know what it is but I don't want to admit it yet. It was silent for a while because i was in my own head.

"June, are you okay? I know that you wanted-"

"Yeah I'm okay. I was just thinking of what to wear." I lied.

"Hey, have some fun. You worked so hard to get into that fucking school, and now you're in so live a little!" she slightly raised her voice at the end out of excitement for me.

Lilith and I are best friends since we were 11 and I know that she is just worried about me. She's like a sister to me and sometimes she can be very exhausting, but I still love her. She was with me throughout everything that happened with my family and never left my side like some other friends that I thought would stay.

"I know but-" I was about to say, but Lilith interrupted me "Uh uh no buts J, do you understand?"

"Yes ma'am" I laughed.

"Now go get ready, I'll be there in 15 Minutes to drive you. Love you!" she announced and hung up.

Now I was alone with my thoughts, and that's not very good.

I got back to doing my makeup when I looked at the clock and saw that I had enough time before Lilith came and picked me up. I wasn't a big fan of makeup, but for my first day I wanted to look presentable.

I opened my drawer and took my mascara out to put on a few layers. Then I put on some concealer to cover up my eyebags because I don't sleep very much. Now I had to decide between my two favorite lip gloss', one was more red-ish and the other was more of a nude tone.

After a minute of thinking I decided for the nude one and put it on. I looked at myself in the mirror that hung above my table and smiled at the outcome, I looked good.

After checking the clock I had a good 5 minutes until my best friend should be here.

I got up from my chair and walked over to my dresser. I decided to go with the blue jeans, white crop top and my black&white flannel. I quickly got dressed so I could do my hair.

I just brushed thru my hair and didn't do anything special to it because I liked how it naturally looked. I had light brow hair that reached to my chest, it wasn't straight but it wasn't wavy either.

When I was done I took my bag from my bed and walked out of my room, into the kitchen, grabbed a granola bar and walked out the front door of our apartment.

Outside I didn't have to wait long, I saw Liliths black mini cooper drive around the corner with all her windows down and blasting music. "Get in bitch!!" she shouted over the loud music.

As I was getting in I sang the song and she began to sing along and as we were on the road we were full on shouting the lyrics.

"YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR HAIR AND YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES", she yelled.

"YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR MIND; THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT GOES " now it was me who was yelling.

For the next line we were facing each other but Lilith looked from me to the road as we shouted.

"YOU CAN SAY GOODBYE AND YOU CAN SAY HELLO; BUT YOU'LL ALWAYS FIND YOUR WAY BACK HOME"

After our favorite part was over she turned the music down and glanced over at me a few times and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"What is it now" I sighed.

"Nothing" she shrugged.

"Lilith, just tell me."

"I don't want to upset you, now that you're in a good mood..."

"Oh my god Lilith just spit it out!" I was getting impatient because I could already guess what she was about to say. In all honesty, I thought about it too but it just couldn't be true, right?

"Okay, alright. Do you think he will also be attending Oxford?" she asked. There, I knew she would ask me that.

"I dunno" I shrugged trying not to show how much that person and this topic really affected me.

She just threw me a worried glance before looking back on the road. I know she didn' belive me she knew me too well, I just don't like to talk about it so we drove in comfortable silence.

"Here we are miss Gray." She said while halting beside the road to let me out with a smile on her face.

"Thanks. Love you," I mumbled while opening the car door to get out.

Just before the door closed I heard her say "call me when you need me to get you"

I just nodded in response and walked to the massive building that is my university.
