After our moment, we quickly had breakfast. We were sitting in silence at first but Daniel thankfully broke the ice with small questions here and there. We naturally slipped into a conversation and before we knew it, it was time for Daniel's meeting.

I was currently in his office, watching some cupcake and cookie recipes on YouTube. Before I knew it, 2 hours had passed and Daniel was done with his meeting. He stood before me and cleared his throat to grab my attention. I look up at him in surprise and my cheeks turned a little red in embarrassment. I didn't even realise when he entered his office. I was too caught up in the videos.

"I'm done with my meeting. Shall we leave?" He asked as he walked to his desk and packed his files.

"Yeah sure." I said and got my things from the couch. We both exited the cabin and after Daniel had a small chat with Mrs. Ryder about his absence from the office on this Saturday- which is the over-morrow. It's our Reception.

My family is flying here and will reach tomorrow early morning. Since it'll be hella expensive to bring about 80 people here just for a night, only my Dad's family and Uncle's family are going to be here.

After the chat with Mrs. Ryder, we entered the private elevator. Daniel pressed the button and it started.

"How was your meeting?" I turned towards him, making a conversation.

He turned to me and looked surprised by my question. I internally frowned upon his confusion.

"It was good." He said, astonishment clearly evident in his voice.

"Okay." I softly muttered.

"Here's your sandwich and orange soda, Ma'am." The waiter said as he placed the tray of food on the table and gave me my lunch.

We decided to eat out and Daniel bought me to one of his favourite restaurants. He usually comes here for outdoor meetings or family luncheons. It was fancy and classy, obviously, but it was very welcoming too. It had a nice ambiance and had friendly staff.

"Anything else?" The waiter looked between me and Daniel and we shook our heads, declining.

"Okay, I'll be on my way then. Enjoy your date, Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds." The waiter chirped happily before leaving.

I'm on a date.

The sentence I just thought, made butterflies erupt in my stomach. I've never been on a date before. Sure, I've had boyfriends but I've never been on an official date before.

Plus, us being married, added a meaning to that word.

"You wanted to ask me something, coraźon? Back at the office, we didn't get a chance to complete the conversation." Daniel said breaking my chain of thoughts.

This is one of the many things that I like about Daniel.

He listens. He always listens.

He is always attentive. Even when I think he's busy or his mind is preoccupied, he is never unmindful enough to not hear or register what I'm saying.

"Kia?" He once again called me and I looked straight in his blue eyes.

"I was wondering if I can go dress shopping tomorrow with Savannah since I don't have any appropriate dress for our Reception."

"Kia, how many times have I told you this? You don't need my permission. You are not my slave or captive. Neither are you my employee or my servant. You are my wife. You are my equal." He said the last sentence by keeping his hands in the air. The side of his palms connected and his hands made a straight line. "You are free to do whatever you want and go wherever you want." He said.

"I know, Dan. I just wanted to let you know. I promise I'll not ask it as a question next time." I said and his eyebrows touched.

"Don't call me Dan, I don't like that. And yes, you do that." He replied.

"Then what am I suppose to call you. You call me Kia and that Spanish word."

"Coraźon." He corrected me.

"Yeah, that. What am I to call you as? Everyone address you as 'Daniel' and it's common."

"How about 'baby'?" He suggested.

"Too common."

"Hubby?"

"Too cliché."

"Honey?"

"We're not 50."

"Marido? It means 'husband' in Spanish." Daniel suggested after a small silence.

"I'll just call you babe. That's easy." I shrugged.

"God, Kia. Why'd you ask then?" He asked softly facepalming himself.

"Is it okay with you?" I asked.

"I'm yours. Call me whatever you want." He said with a sweet smile and I tried not to focus too much on the 'I'm yours' part. Keyword- tried.

"If that's the case, why not-" I was cut mid-sentence by him.

"Except for that, coraźon." He said playfully dragging 'that'.

"But wait, what does coraźon mean?" I curiously questioned.

"You'll know." He nonchalantly answered.

"You know, I can Google that, right?" I sassed but he took my hands in his.

"Kia, I'll tell you what it means, one day. I promise, but please don't decipher it's meaning before that moment arrives." He said in all seriousness.

"I won't." I assured him. With that, we both concentrated back on our food, conversing all the while about nothing in particular.

QOTD: Do you like tattoos? If yes, do you want/have any? If no, why not?
