Akemi POV
After Gun had just taken me with him following the God Dog confrontation, we'd stopped for food at a street vendor. Goo was here too, and he wasn't happy.
"Do you have any idea how much this car cost? What the hell are you gonna do about the wet seats?! Huh?! We're behind the schedule as it is!! Are you a little kid? Is this all a game to you? Huh?!" He smacked Gun's shoulder. I dipped my head and ate my food quietly, slightly bemused. It was funny to see Goo scold Gun for being irresponsible.
"First Jake, and now Johan too? You think this is 'Produce 101'?" Goo screeched. Gun scowled, furrowing his brows and taking a particularly aggressive bite out of his kebab.
"Here's the sauce you wanted... AH! I'M SO SORRY!" The vendor spilled a bucket of sauce all over me. Gun had made me wear his jacket in the cold, so now it was stained with the sauce.
"HAHAHA! Is that your jacket she's wearing? Serves you right!" Goo jeered.
Gun clenched his jaw as he looked at me.
Gun's POV
"Oh no! Are you okay?! I did seven hundred reps and even went jogging... My hands are shaking so bad right now!" The vendor hurried to apologise to Akemi.
"Talk about perfect timing. You're so dead." I growled. Not only had he stained a fairly expensive jacket, but he'd also spilled sauce on Akemi. The stuff could be hot and burn her skin or something. Wait, what the hell, sauce can be dangerous? Ugh, I really wasn't used to caring about anyone other than myself.
"Hm? The fuck did you just say? Oi, you sure about this? You a gangster?" The vendor turned, pushing up the towel tied around his head to glare up at me. I almost laughed at his naivety.
Akemi's POV
"Seonong!! What's going on?! Why are you fighting?" A short foreign-looking man ran up to us. Was he the vendor's boss?Gun glared at the newcomer, and the newcomer glared back. I exchanged a confused look with Goo as we both had no idea what was going on. Seriously, what was up with Gun? Why did he look so grim?
"I... Irasshaimase..." The man stammered. I did have a limited knowledge of Japanese - after all, my mother was from Japan. Despite my Japanese name, I only knew a few basic phrases.
The man was saying welcome. He looked half scared to death.
"Oi, skinny. Step aside. This is a grown-up matter." The vendor, Seonong, said."Those two are not to be fucked with easily. Heck, even the girl might be dangerous. Only someone like me, who can do five hundred reps of the big three, can feel it." Seonong shot a pointed glare at us, but his hand was shaking.
"What? You crooked bastards need to learn some manners..." Goo cracked his knuckles. I nudged him lightly to get him to stop.
To everyone's surprise, Gun held out a notepad and pen.
"I'm a huge fan. It's an honour to meet you in person. Your 65th title defence match was a life changer for me. With the flying knee kick finisher... With your right knee! I'm still waiting for you to come back to the ring. It's such a shame... That you left without a student." Gun confessed.
What? He knew the foreigner? Seonong and Goo were equally as discombobulated as me.
"Thank you. And... I have... A student." The man handed back the notepad after signing it, smiling.
