10| Trouble At The Meadow!

I'm back with a new chapter! Now I'm really tired right now(I couldn't use my gadgets yesterday so I had to write 2700+ words today to make up for it) so I'll make this quick.

I'll reveal more about the OC as the story goes on but for now, enjoy the story.

Date: Wednesday, April 22nd

"What?" Ash said in disbelief. "How can Nebby be missing?"

"I don't know," Lillie said. "Last time I checked he was still here"

"Well we need to find him," Ash said. He then remembered something. "But what about Hau's trial?"

"I can do it after we find Nebby," Hau said. "We still have a lot of time"

"Actually," Illima interrupted. "Today's the last day you can take on my trial. At least for a week or so. I got a visit from the Kahuna this morning telling me that we, Trial Captain, will have a gathering with other Trial Captains and other Kahunas to check up on how our Trials are going on. I am required to be on Akala Island by tomorrow's afternoon at the latest"

"What?" Hau said. "So I'll have to wait for a week before I can take on your trial?"

"If you don't do it today then yes," Illima said.

"Hau," Lillie said. "It's fine. Go do your trial. You've been waiting for this for a long time. I know it's important to you and that's why I can't let you waste this opportunity"

"But-"

"I said it's fine Hau" Lillie interrupted him. "I can look for Nebby by myself. My only regret is not being able to watch your trial"

"Well, leave it to me, Lillie!" Rotom said. "I'll record every single minute of Hau's trial for you!"

Lillie smiled at Rotom. "Thank you Rotom. I don't know what I'd do without you"

Hau smiled at Lillie. "Thanks, Lillie," He said. "I'll make sure to finish as fast as I can so I can help you look for Nebby"

"Alright then," Illima said. "Hau, follow me. Let's start your trial now"

Hau nodded and followed Illima inside. Rotom gave Lillie a salute before following them inside.

Lillie then noticed that Ash was still standing there with her.

"Ash?" Lillie asked. "Why are you still here?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Ash said with a grin. "I'm helping you look for Nebby of course"

Lillie smiled at Ash. "Thanks, Ash"

"No problem Lillie," Ash said. "So, any idea where Nebby might be?"

"No," Lillie said. "But he must have got out of my bag during your trial otherwise Rotom would have known that he went missing"

Ash nodded and looked at the cavern entrance. He was about to suggest asking Illima for permission to look in the cavern when he noticed something on the ground.
