Hawk Moth's Defeat

[Chat Noir/Adrien POV]

"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" I shouted, tears running down my face as Mallory disappeared in a dark purple and black fog.

I glared at Mayura and, despite the intense pain, tackled her. Mayura kicked me off of her and I landed on my back.

Mayura looked at Mallory's necklace and her face turned into despair as the necklace fell out of her limp hand.

I spotted Ladybug fighting Hawk Moth and decided to help her. Our movements were synced as we fought Hawk Moth together.

We soon were able to take his miraculous when the ground below us started to sink.

We were in an elevator and and scene was beautiful. The elevator stopped at the bottom and we started fighting Hawk Moth again.

Soon, we made it to the end of the walkway and something caught my eye.

My eyes widened as I saw my mom in something like a coffin.

"Mom...?!"

Ladybug's eyes widened as she turned to me.

"Adrien...?!"

I stared at my mother's still body and tears pricked my eyes.

Hawk Moth leaned against the coffin, breathing heavy.

"I've been doing this for us, Adrien..." he told me.

My eyes widened.

"Father...?!"

Hawk Moth nodded.

I closed my eyes and clenched my fists.

"If you give me Ladybug's and your miraculous, we can be a family again..."

I heard him take a step towards me.

"But there would be a terrible price in exchange!!!!" Ladybug warned us, desperately.

I looked at Ladybug...

Marinette...

and saw how scared she was.

I smiled at her and turned back to my father... Hawk Moth...

"Do you really want to have Mom back so much only to lose something of the same value?" I asked him.

Father's eyes widened and he looked at Mom.

"It's not too late to do the right thing," I told him.

Suddenly, Father hit me with his cane and I crashed through the ceiling into Mallory's room. I landed on her desk and it broke.

I spotted a black journal with a neon green paw print on the front.

I reached out for it, but Father jumped in my way. He grabbed my wrist and reached for my ring.

My eyes widened in fear.

Father suddenly was pulled back and I fell onto the floor.

I looked up and saw that Mayura was holding Hawk Moth back.

Ladybug jumped through the hole in the floor and ran to me. She crouched beside me and looked me over probably to make sure that I wasn't hurt too badly.

After that, she hugged my neck tightly and cried. I smiled gently and hugged her back just as tightly.

Ladybug pulled back and wiped her tears.

"Please don't scare me like that ever again!!!" she told me with a laugh.

I chuckled.

"Cat's honor!!"

Mayura smiled at us and sighed.

"I'm really sorry for everything I've done," she apologized. "I just wanted to help him..."

I smiled.

"It's okay!!" I told her.

Mayura smiled.

We heard police sirens and stood.

"Would you like to join us?" I asked Mayura as Ladybug grabbed Hawk Moth.

Mayura's eyes widened.

"Really?"

I glanced at Ladybug and she nodded.

A tear ran down Mayura's cheek and she wiped it away.

Me and Mayura jumped back into Hawk Moth's lair to free my friends.

We got to the first floor and they hurried outside.

Except for Nino, Alya, and Evan.

"You and Marinette so owe me an interview and us an explanation!!!" Alya told me and they all walked outside.

I chuckled and jumped back into Hawk Moth's lair and looked around. I spotted something on the ground and picked it up.

It was Mallory's necklace.

Tears pricked my eyes and I hugged the necklace close to my chest.

Mayura looked at me, guilt in her eyes.

"Duusu... fall my feathers..."

My eyes widened as Mayura detransformed into Nathalie.

"Nathalie...?!"

Nathalie sighed as she walked to me.

"I'm so sorry for all that I have done..."

I smiled at her.

"Me and Marinette have already forgiven you," I told her.

I hugged Nathalie tightly. Nathalie reluctantly returned it.

THUD!!

"So you were Mayura!!"

I looked behind Nathalie to see Ladybug, holding Hawk Moth with a smile.

I grinned.

Ladybug walked to me and handed me Mallory's journal and a piece of paper.

"I believe that these are made for you," she told me.

I grabbed them from her hands and smiled at her. Ladybug smiled back.

"Tikki, spots off."

Ladybug detransformed into Marinette.

"Plagg, claws in."

I detransformed and gave Marinette a lopsided smile, making her giggle.

I looked down at the piece of paper and Mallory's journal and unfolded the piece of paper.

Dear Adrien,

If you're reading this, that means you know that I'm a sentimonster, our father is Hawk Moth, Nathalie is Mayura, and that I'm gone. I'm not sure if you know this, but your mother has been under your house ever since she disappeared and is in a coma. She's not dead. And I think I have a way to bring her back. If you look in my entry on the day of my first sleepover, you will find my theory. I can't write it on this piece of paper, but I can in my journal. And if I did something wrong, I hope that you and our friends will be able to forgive me. You guys helped me so much. Even Plagg. Thank you for everything.
