Sokka's POV
"That's why I love Suuuuukkkkii!" I sang as we walked through the forest. I love watching her smile, she's so pretty. "Think fast!" She yelled. "Wha-" before I had time to finish, she tripped me and we both fell on the ground while laughing. I looked up at the blue sky. We were surrounded by trees. "Let me try to strum that thing." Suki asked. I handed my lyre to her and she stroked it once. "Where do I put my hands?" She asked as we sit up. I stand up and come from behind her and move her fingers. "Now strum." She played a C chord. Her face lit up. "Okay, ummm.. Sokkaaa, you're soooo cuteee, I love youuuuu!" She sang. I burst out in laughter because she just strummed the same chord the whole time. I sat down behind her and hugged her from behind. I put my chin on her shoulder. She clutched my hands with hers and turned her head to the right where my head was resting. I loved her green eyes. They reminded me of emeralds. She smiled and then closed her eyes and I went in for a kiss. It wasn't too long, wasn't too short. I sat with my legs crisscrossed on the grass and she laid down and put her head in my lap. I started to twirl her hair. How do girls even braid their hair? Or do twisty things? She had her eyes closed and I had my hands scratching her head. My leg was going numb. After a while of that, I decided to speak up. "Hey! Let's see who can throw the biggest rock in that little stream!" I stood up. Suki slowly stood up as well. "Sokka, that's a stupid game." She said while wiping her eyes. "Oh, right." I looked down. "Well.. what about climbing that tree." I asked her. "Ehh.. I'm tired from you touching my hair, it always makes me sleepy. Why don't we just go see what Aang and them's up to." She said. "Yeah, maybe they cooked something." I asked as we started back. "Sokka, we just ate." "Hey, a mans gotta eat." I replied. She smiled and rolled her eyes.
Toph's POV
After three rounds of Aang's stick game he made up, I was getting bored. No one knows how to have fun. My kind of fun is when my adrenaline rushes. As long as I'm having fun, I don't mind getting in a little trouble. I wish I could have my best friend Sokka back. Suki is all he cares about now. He forgot about me. We used to have so much fun together, like that time when we were scamming people in the city. Suki would think I liked him if I ever asked to tag along. "What's on your mind Toph?" Aang asked me. I realized it was my turn. "I'm not in the mood right now." I tried picking out the right words. "It seemed like you were earlier." He said confused. "Yeah, what's with the mood swings Toph?" Katara came over to me. "NOTHING!... I'm sorry for yelling guys, I just don't know. It's like one minute I'm happy and then I- I don't know." I blurted out. Then I get drowned in my own thoughts. I thought to myself. "It's okay, lets just take a break." Aang said with his overly happy voice. We all sat down close together. "Hey Toph? Why don't you ever play that game that you and Sokka made up anymore?" Katara questioned. I was trying to give her an answer. "Yeah! Where he closes his eyes and you hide his boomerang and he tries to find it." Aang added. I smiled at the memories. He said he wanted to see what it would be like if he were blind, so we kind of just made up that game. I'd always win because he was bad at tip toeing and I always felt where he was walking to hide the boomerang. Then I remembered how much he ignored me. "WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO DO WITH HIM?" My smile faded. "Oh, sorry." Katara said with a stutter. "There's other fun games you know, I hated that one anyway." I lied. That was my favorite game. "Hey! There they are." Aang said as Suki and Sokka pranced back over to our camp. "Ohhh, you guys are playing games?" Sokka said as he nearly stumbled while running over to the circle. Suki slowly walked behind him. "What'd you play?" He asked. "Um.. we're done now." Katara said in a nervous voice. "That gives me an idea! How bout some good o'l boomerang blindness?!" Sokka said with enthusiasm. I really wanted to play, but my anxiety of Suki being suspicious made me hold my happiness in. "What's that?" Suki inquired. "Well you see, ummm I can't really explain it, but watch me and Toph." He told her as he grabbed my arm and stood me up. I felt Suki's heart rate go up. I knew it. She was already mad at me. "You hide it first, and I'll be blind." He suggested. "Sokka." I said. "Or do you want me to hide it first." He went on. "SOKKA!" I said louder. He went quiet this time. I could tell he was confused. "I don't feel like it okay?" I stated. I just wanted my best friend back.
Sokka's POV
Why is Toph acting like this? It's starting to make me angry. Something's up with her for sure. "Oh." That's all I said and I walked back with Suki. What came next, I wasn't prepared for at all. "Hey Toph, I helped you this morning with your back and all, and I was just wondering if you could tone down your jealousy." The words left Suki's mouth with no stutter and no laugh. Jealous? Toph whipped her head around real quick. "Jealousy?" She said with a psychotic laugh. "I don't care what you and Sokka do, see? This is the stuff I mean KATARA." Her voice got louder and more fierce. "I DON'T LIKE HIM ONE BIT SUKI, COME AT ME AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT IF YOU'RE THAT MAD. Oh wait, you gotta put your makeup on first." Toph barked back. This isn't good. When Suki stepped up, Aang jumped in front of them. "Guys, we are NOT doing this. We're all family here." Aang yelled. Katara stepped in. "Let's all do something together." She said. "Why don't we all go exploring on that big mountain? There's a trail." Katara said. Suki crossed her arms and looked the opposite way. I honestly don't know what to say. Katara shoots me a mad look. I throw my hands up and mouth "I don't know". I go up to Suki. "You okay?" I ask her nervously. "Yeah it's my fault." She looked at me and walked over to Toph. Oh no! "Toph, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything." Suki said softly. I never expected that. Girls are so weird. "Apology accepted.. I guess." Toph said back. I think they're on good terms now. Why doesn't Toph want to be friends anymore? I thought we were best buds. She hates me, and I want to talk to her about it, but I don't know how to start. "Alright then. Let's go!" Katara started leading us up the mountain. We started walking. It was some time in the evening. It was cooling off. Perfect temperature for walking. Aang and Katara are walking up front and Toph is by herself in the middle and then me and Suki are in the back. "Looks like it may rain." Suki told the group. "A little rain won't hurt." Katara said back. I was losing my breath because it's so uphill. The view was gorgeous, but the fall would be a painful, spiky death.
