Chapter 9: Princess, Monster and Love

A/N: Episode 4 baby! I know that episode is a dark one, why not make it darker?

Random dude: Are you trying to surpass the episode 9 (spoilers) of the anime itself?

A/N: Nope, actually I'm planning to make a happy ending of the episode 9 of the anime. But it will take some time to build that up also, Arthur and Elaina's relationship. I noticed that Elaina is the one who is taking the initiative here, so this chapter and probably the next 2 or 3 chapters, will develop the relatuonship of Arthur and Elaina. So yeah.........let the chapter begin!

Arthur's POV

What does falling in love really mean? Is it literally falling like you fell into a trap?

There are others saying that love can be the cause of evil itself. Committing evil acts all in the name of love.

Once there is a princess who fell in love with a castle servant. But due to their social standing, their love was forbidden. So they always meet in secret. Until one day, the princess became pregnant, it became the fruit of their love.

Right now me and Elaina came across a completely destroyed country. As we're looking at the massive destruction, Elaina asked me.

Elaina: Did someone used a Forbidden Magic here?

Arthur: I don't think that's the case. This destruction is not caused by the Nine Forbidden Magics. It was caused by something else.

Elaina: Something else?

Then strangely enough.........I saw a castle that seems, unscathed.

Arthur: Strange, that castle is still left standing.........

Elaina: Hey you're right........

Arthur: Don't tell me we're staying there.

Elaina: It will take another day for us to reach another country you know?

Arthur: I can summon Dvalin anytime, anywhere.

Elaina: But we'll gather too much attention.

Arthur: And that is why I'm only summoning Dvalin in special cases.

We have no other choice but to stay at that castle. Which gives me a very uncomfortable feeling.

Elaina: Seems like you're not feeling well. Did you catch a cold?

Arthur: Nope, somehow I feel like there is really something wrong here.

Elaina: Do you detect another evil aura here?

Arthur: It's strange actually, I'll explain it later once we get inside that castle.

We landed in front of the castle's door. And somehow I can feel something here. Then me and Elaina proceeded to open the door when suddenly I heard something of a spell. Then I quickly turned around I saw a barrier and then it disappeared.

Arthur: I see, so that's how it is.

Elaina: What do you mean?
