You didn't expect it to be this cold, even though 'that's a bit stupid' you thought to yourself knowing that it was mid-November.

It was late afternoon, a bit dark due to the shorter days. The clouds greyness filled the sky, while the street lights began to lead the way down the calm streets.

"I can't believe it's been almost 4 years already."

Jimin and you had made it to the halfway point of your journey home. He made it compulsory to walk with you to your house everyday after work to then make a 'u-turn' to head to his own house.

You felt bad that he did this even after numerous times you told him that you can manage. But the answers you always got were the same. 'it's too dark,' or the classic 'it's not safe, so it would be better if we go together'

Not that it was a problem for you, but you mostly thought about the burden it is for Jimin. Even if there were scary people outside, you're both professional agents and are skilled in fighting.

That's your job.

"I didn't think we would actually be able to do it." You say, responding to the memories of the conversation you and Jimin had years ago in school.

"I'm just happy I'm out of that damn place." Jimin scoffs, remembering the overload of work and unnecessary long hours you had to stay there for.

"And guess what" you start, hopping infront of the boy smiling as you had remembered something.

Jimin lets the last word repeat lifting one of his brows but holding onto either side of your arms to make sure you don't bump into anything.

"We made it as partners."

Jimins smile grew at that, eyes disappearing as he remembered the countless moments you and him mentioned the similar words that were 'we better be partners' to 'we made it as partners.'

" forever and always right?" He asked, eyes softening and looking at you as if you were the most precious thing to him.

"Forever and always." You finish.

"I swear I can make it from here."

You and Jimin were at the start of your road.

He sighs.

You had told him to go home before he catches a fever. You had sworn that it got drastically colder in the last 5 minutes and seeing as you were only wearing your fitted training suit and Jimins light coat he insisted you wore, you tried not to show how cold and shivering you actually were.

"Y/n, you know I can't let yo-"

"Jimin." You interrupted, eyes softening while looking over at his lack of clothing as he was only wearing his training attire.

"Fine." He started

"But I'm gonna be waiting for a text from you once you're home." He ends, not liking the idea of you leaving his side.

"I promise I will." You say, assuring the boy that you would do it even though now it's second nature.

You were ready to give back the light jacket to Jimin when he reversed your actions and instead, he made sure to zip the jacket up all the way tucking your hair behind your ears to lift up the hood and place it on your head.

All while you simply stared at the man.

"There." He says, managing to slightly smile with his quivering form.
