Hi guys! I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy and safe! So, this part isn't an update on my shifting experience because I didn't shift last night, which was kinda sad because I was seeing angel numbers allll day yesterday so I really thought I was gonna shift. Aannyway, I thought that I would write a little story to help anyone reading this to visualize for shifting. Alright, hope you like it!

You've been feeling... off... all day today. You can't explain it, but everything just seems surreal. Sometimes it feels like if you reached out to touch something, your hand would just pass right through. You feel like your somewhere you're not supposed to be. It isn't a negative feeling, just sort of a slightly unpleasant itch at the back of your mind telling you that you're not quite home yet. As you get ready for bed - you're brushing your teeth at the moment - you see a sudden flicker of a castle in your mind. That was odd... it almost looked like... You shake your head and walk toward the towel hanging from a hook on your bathroom wall. You have the most peculiar feeling as you dry off your hands on the cotton. You feel light all of a sudden; you almost feel as if you are floating, hovering only inches off the ground. You shake your head again, trying to clear your mind. You must be just more tired than usual. You finish your night routine, and snuggle into your bed. It feels extra warm and inviting tonight, like it's calling you to settle in for an easy journey home. You smile and close your eyes, finally allowing yourself to think of the place you feel you most belong: Hogwarts. A magical place full of the people you've met only in the pages of books. Somehow, tonight, as you see glimpses of each of their smiling faces fly by in your head, they feel incredibly real. Each image of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Cedric, Fred, George, Neville, Luna, Hagrid, Dumbledore - the list of beloved characters goes on - becomes more and more vivid than the last. Your smile gets wider when the Great Hall decorated for that holidays floats through your head. The sounds of people laughing and talking amongst each other suddenly surround you and engulf you like a warm, fuzzy blanket. You can see Dumbledore in the front of the Hall, finishing the last of his annual speech. You can hear the faint ringing of bells weaving in and out of the constant cheerful chattering. Snow from the bewitched ceiling of the Great Hall twinkles down from the almost invisible rafters that are almost entirely doused in a dazzling midnight winter sky. Fred and George's laughter erupts from the Gryffindor table suddenly and interrupts your reverie. You spot them from across the Hall with a grin and race toward them, barely realizing how solid the floor has become underneath your feet. Harry slides over to give you a seat at the table, and to your surprise, Draco Malfoy is sitting directly in front of you. He smiles at you from behind a massive assortment of various holiday sweets piled up on a silver serving platter, and you smile back at him, ducking behind the desserts to hide your blushing. You reach for a delicious looking pastry sitting on the very top of the pile of sweets. It's incredibly warm in your hand and coated in a sheen of powdered sugar that makes you think of the freshly-fallen snow on the front grounds of Hogwarts. You take a timid bite of the pastry, and it melts into your mouth with an explosion of flavor that could only be described as your happiest holiday memory in the form of a magical dessert. You're just finishing the pastry - Hermione reaches behind Harry, giggling, to kindly brush the powdered sugar off the top of your nose - when Neville, sitting on the other side of you, suddenly knocks into you, sending you lurching back into Harry's chest. Harry sits you back upright and laughs at your sheepish expression. When you turn back to Neville, he has a remarkably similar one on his face. He apologized profusely, and you reassure him that it's really quite alright. Besides, it really wasn't his fault; Seamus had blown up his pumpkin pasty while attempting to turn it into a rum-flavored one. (His obsession with turning things into rum was sometimes worrying.) The explosion, which had left streaks of soot on poor Seamus's face, had scared the life out of Neville, causing him to bump into you. You look over at Seamus again over Neville's shoulder, and almost successfully asses the scene of the explosion without bursting into laughter until you catch a glimpse of Luna Lovegood next to Seamus. Luna has her hand clasped over her mouth, and by her slight shaking and twinkling eyes, you can tell that she is failing to hold in laughter of her own. Luna lets out a small fit of infectious giggles, which causes Seamus himself to laugh. Soon, the entire Gryffindor table, and, surprisingly, Draco Malfoy, are laughing and feasting merrily together. Harry and Neville put their arms over your shoulders, and in this moment, surrounded by friends, you feel the happiest you've ever felt. Snowflakes daintily drift down into your goblet of butter beer as you raise it in an impromptu toast initiated by Fred and George. As you raise your glass high into the air, Dumbledore catches your eye. He winks, smiling his wise, knowing smile, and that's when you feel a small, warm tear slide down your cheek. You've done it. You've made it home.
