Chapter 35

Lee, Fred, George, Angie and I were walking down to Hagrid's hut for our first lesson

"I'm excited for this lesson" I said smiling

"I heard he's got something big for the first lesson" lee answered

"Yeah testing it on us to see how the third years would do" Angie told us

We reached his hut and Hagrid was standing outside rounding everyone up

"Come on come on hurry up we need to go into the forest hurry up" he bellowed at us

We followed him into the forest going in quite deep but stopped at at a wide clear area with the sun pouring through the trees

I sit down on the only big rock in the clearing taking my robe off leaving me in a skirt my shirt and thigh high socks, it was a hot day and the sun blaring down was making me sweat

"Excuse me Hagrid but how do we open these books" Cedric asked

"Stroke the spine" he grinned proud of the book he's made us all buy

I looked down at my book wrapped in a belt so it doesn't eat any other belongings, I felt a presence next to me and I turned to see George joined me on the rock, I smile at him and look down at my book

I take the belt off and it went at me without leaving me time to stroke the spine, before it could get at me it was pushed down by a hand, a hand that belongs to George

"Hurry vi" he stammers trying to keep it closed

"Oh shit sorry" I rush stroking the spin

The book calmed down and opened onto the first page, I look over at George and I watch him take the belt off his book and held it with one hand whike the other hand stroke it's spine at the same time, my jaw dropped

"What?" He laughs

"How did you hold it with one hand when you couldn't hold mine?" I ask

"Because I can't show you my talents all at once can I" he winks

"Shove off" I laugh pushing him

He sits back up just as Hagrid speaks

"I've got a surprise for you all wait here" he chuckles rubbing his hands together walking off

"This is going to be good" Fred says bending down to our ears

He starts to move back up but I grab his tie and pull him back down

"Go flirt with Angie Fred it's not often she's left her bitch group" I sniggered

He pushes my head

"Shut up moon" he said before walking off shaking his head going straight to Angie

"What did I say that boy would never miss a chance" I turned to George

Our faces were inches apart and I gulped

"You always tell him not to miss his chance yet you never see yours" he tuts

"You might just be shit at showing it" I wink looking back as the twigs break in front of us

Hagrid comes out into the clearing with a array of Pegasus like animals with a face of a bird

"Look at them ain't they beautiful" he smiles "hippogriffs they're called"

Each was a different colour, stormy grey, bronze, a pinkish roan, gleaming chestnut and inky black

"Now first thing you gotta know about hippogriffs is their proud, easily offended, don't ever insult one cause it could be the last thing you do" Hagrid explained to us
