Chapter 64

As they walked in the house, Scott hoped something in Mitch's brain would flip and he'd remember who he even was, but the look in his eyes told Scott that nothing happened.

The Hybrid sighed and took Aviva upstairs, not knowing what to do, let alone say.

Avi gave Mitch a smile. "Its okay." He reminded Mitch. Since Mitch woke up, Samuel let Avi come back forward, since at least one of his problems was solved..

The Omega smiled at him. "Thank you." He said. "I just wish-."

"Stop." Avi said. "None of that. You're doing just fine."

Mitch nodded with a smile. "Is Scott mad at me?"

Avi shook his head. "No, he's not. He's mad at the situation."

"Oh." Mitch looked at his feet.

"Hey." Avi said, tilting Mitch's head back up. "Its not your fault. If your gonna remember anything, remember that."

The Omega nodded and hugged the Alpha. "Thank you."

Avi gave him a squeeze. "You're welcome, Skittle." Avi chuckled.

Mitch pulled back with a furrowed brow. "Skittle?"

Avi smiled. "Mitch, you're gayer than a rainbow."

Mitch tried to suppress a smile and nodded. "Yeah, seems about right." He snorted.

The two laughed as Avi led them into the kitchen.

Scott knocked on Kirsties door and opened it, to see her sitting in the corner of the room.

"Kit?" He said, slowly approaching her.

The once he was close enough, he saw that she was sleeping.

"Oh, kit." He said, gently waking her. "Hey, its Scott." He told her, so she didn't freak out. He'd made that mistake once with Mitch after they'd had Addalin. Mitch was so tired that he didn't recognize Scott, who was waking him up. Mitch flipped out and smacked him.

Kirstie woke with a start, but she didn't freak, thankfully.

"Why are you against the wall?" Scott asked gently.

Kirstie just shrugged. She was so tired.

Scott sighed and gathered her in his arms. "Come here." He said. She snuggled comfortably into his chest and quickly fell asleep.

The Hybrid kissed her head before setting her in her bed and covering her up. He turned around and saw Emersyn awake and looking around.

"Hi, sweetie." He said, picking her up. "We're gonna let mommy sleep, alright? She's tired."

Emersyn squeaked and snuggled into her uncle's chest.

He smiled and walked out of the room with the little Beta in his arms.

He went downstairs to the kitchen, where Mitch and Avi were talking.

"Hey." He said, snuggling the baby in his arms.

Avi turned around and smiled when he saw his baby. "Hey." He said, coming over and rubbing her back. "Wheres Kit?"

"Sleeping. I found her passed out against the wall."

Avi nodded. "Thank you. That's the third time that's happened."

"She's tired." Scott shrugged, kissing Emersyn head as she gripped his finger.

Emersyn fussed as the scent of her father hit her, and she started squirming.

"Oop." Avi said. "She knows I'm here." He chuckled as he reached forward and grabbed the fussing baby and cradled her. "Hi, baby." He said, patting her back.

She gave a small "hmph" as she exhaled and snuggled into her father.

"D'awwww." Scott said. "She's adorable."

Avi chuckled and felt a small poke on his thigh. He looked down and saw Logan reaching up, wanting to be held.

Her father smiled and bent over and picked her up, settling her on his hip.

"Emmie." She said, looking at her little sister.

"Mhmm." Avi nodded. "Be gentle." Logan nodded and gently touched her finger to Emersyn's nose.

Mitch looked at Scott. This man was his husband, the father of his children. But Mitch couldnt remember him for anything. Nothing was even familiar.

At least, he thought so, until he met Scott's blue eyes.

His hand flew to his mouth as the memory of kissing Scott made his entire body tingle.

"Are you okay?" Scott asked.

Mitch nodded and left the room. What the hell?

Scott sighed and looked at Avi. "Just give him some time."

The Hybrid nodded and looked at the ground. "I know." He said, not sounding very confident.

Scott was still struggling with his Omega side. He hadn't quite..."balanced out" as kevin had put it. He was getting there, just it was taking a while. His talk with Esther did seemed to help though, and his nightmares were less frequent.

Mitch locked himself in the bathroom and looked in the mirror. The...flashback, sent a fire all over his body.

What freaked him out even more was how much he wanted it to be real.

He sighed and turned on the cold water, splashing his face.

"Just fucking remember something." He told himself, harsher than was necessary. "I mean, fuck. You can remember everything else. Why can't you remember you're own fucking kids. Or your husband?"

He glared at himself in the mirror.

"Come on." He said. "Nothing?"

At this point, he was expecting the mirror to respond. He chuckled and turned around, leaning against the counter when it hit him.

He saw flashlights all around him and Kevin between his legs, holding what looked to be a newborn baby, wrapped up in a blanket. The baby had wet blond hair and brown eyes.

"Jordan." He said, shaking.

He began shaking harder. as more and more memories hit him and he fell to the ground.

"Huh!" He said as he his the ground. "What the fuck?" He said, holding his head.

When he recovered enough to see, he stood back up and looked in the mirror.

And then he smiled.

So as some of you know, I'm already working on the third book and I've finally finished the first chapter....

And lemme just say....

Idk of yall will be getting a break. I have no idea how I'm gonna end this book, and shit starts right away soooooo
