Chapter ③: Hanging out

Lucy's POV

I'm walking next to Natsu as we go somewhere to hang out. Natsu takes me to an arcade. We get in and Natsu buys us tokens.

"You wanna do some karaoke first?" He asks. I smile.

"Sure!" He drags me over to the karaoke machines and hands me a mic.

"I'll go first." I said. He nods and steps back a little. I pick the song, Break Out! (Opening 18 of Fairy Tail. I don't know the entire song, I just know the opening itself.)

The lyrics started to come up on the screen, and started to sing.

"You'd better break out your world. You go! BREAK OUT!! Shinjiru kokoro de hajimaru sutoori. Ikiteku koto ga tsuyosadato Tell Me. Kodoku de egai ta Perfect Style mogaide kowashi tenishita. BREAK OUT! Tadoritsuku made. BREAK OUT! BREAK OUT! You'd better break out your world. 'Cause you are not alone now. You go! BREAK OUT!! Give it a kick and "BREAK OUT"." I finished the song.

"You have a really beautiful voice!" He complimented blushing. I blushed a little harder than he did. Now it was Natsu's turn to sing.

"I'll pick this one!" He picked Blaze Up. (Sung by the Japanese voice actor of Natsu. Convenient •3•)

Natsu started to sing.

Tomerarenai. Go all the way." Natsu made that last note last a while, then finished. I gave him an encore as he finished.

"I love how you sing, Natsu!" I complimented. W-wait, did i just say that, I 'love' how he sings? I questioned myself as I started to blush. I look away shyly. I felt a warm hand on mine and noticed that Natsu was holding it.

"Come with me!" He said grinning. I smiled as he dragged me to this racing game.

- A bunch of games later -

Natsu and I walked out of the arcade ready to go home but, while we were on our way, we ran into one of his rivals from school that he told me about. His name was Gray Fullbuster.

"Oi, flame brain!" He called. Natsu turned around and stormed off to him.

"Popsicle!" Natsu called back. They both started to fight so I went to stop them.

"Boys! Stop it!" I yell. They don't listen to me, they just keep fighting.

As they were still fighting, we heard footsteps from behind all of us.

"What's going on here?!" She yelled. It was Erza.

"E-Erza! W-we were just having a good conversation with my best bud here!" Gray said, his voice trembling in fear.

"A-aye." Was all Natsu said. My mouth hung open a little. What happened to Natsu?! I see Erza give them a death glare. She walked away. I shook a little. So Natsu was right about her.

I sat on a nearby bench, wondering where Natsu was. I hope he's alright. I thought. As I sat on the bench, I felt droplets of water landing on my arm. It started to rain. It started to pour down harder so I decided to go home.

I was walking, alone without Natsu. While I was on my way back home, I heard some ruffling in some nearby bushes. I glanced over at the bushes and someone popped out. Natsu.

"Kyaa! Natsu, don't scare me like that!" I yell. He only smirks at me. I give him a confused look. He handed me his jacket.

"Here." He gave it too me and I put it over my head. I smiled at him. He smiled back. I walked happily to my house, Natsu following behind. I had and awesome day today!
