Here's a long chapter because I haven't uploaded in forever

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Draco woke up earlier than Harry. In fact, he woke up 3 hours before class even started, unlike Harry who was fast asleep holding tightly onto the blushing blond boy. Draco decided that if he were to stay in bed like Harry was, then he was going to be late. The young master had a long skin and hair care routine which happened to take around 2 and a half hours to even finish.

The routine was taught to the boy by Lucius himself. "A Malfoy's greatest asset is not their money, but their appearance. You must be able to charm both the men and women to be able to get what you want." He had once said. The younger Malfoy also enjoyed taking care of his skin and hair so that would be the topic of most of their civil conversations.

Draco slowly slid out of bed, making sure not to wake Harry up, definitely not realising that Harry was a deep sleeper that would probably even sleep through a war. He walked towards the bathroom and opened a cupboard where a range of hair and skin care products were lined up. Pinks, oranges, greens and whites lined the cupboard. All for different purposes.

He carefully picked out a green apple body wash and a bottle of hair cleaning potion before heading into the bath. He carefully scrubbed his body with the green apple, inhaling the familiar scent, sighing, this was the stuff. The green apple obsession was something that he had gotten from his grandfather.

Draco wasn't exactly close with his grandparents but he vividly remembers sitting next to his grandfather at a Christmas dinner and having the wind carry the scent of green apple to him. A calming smell that contrasted with his grandfather's strong demeanour. His grandfather often taught him about the Malfoy linage and how they were supposed to take care of themselves above everything because of the several friends and family that turned against them for their money.

The young Malfoy grabbed a special measuring instrument for his hair, one that he got specifically made for his hair. He stared at it for a while admiring how smart his older self was for making the instrument. He carefully squeezed out the amount that was on the instrument and applied it to his head, scrubbing it in carefully, letting it sit while he lathers a second wash of apple body wash and then washing them off together.

After his shower routine, the young Malfoy grabbed a silky green towel and quickly dried himself off. Something that the older version of the Malfoy would have told him off for. He then grabbed a lotion for his body and carefully rubbed it into his skin to keep it moisturised, making sure that he would stay glowing. He then grabbed a pink jar from the cupboard and looked at the label to make sure he knew what it was. And as expected, it was a face wash. He poured an amount in his cupped hand and put the bottle back. Now it was time for his skincare routine.

Since his skin was so pale, if he didn't do this as well as apply sunscreen to his face and arms then he'd turn red instead. He shuddered at the thought. The last time that happened, he was around 7 and didn't show much care to his skin. He had turned red like the candle that Pansy had given him for Christmas.

He used an applicator to apply a serum to his face before rubbing it in and applying sunscreen. Draco then reached down to a small draw, hoping that he kept everything the same as at home since he wasn't sure where it was. And, as expected, there it was, a small bottle of magic gel which he placed on the counter and cast a quick wandless spell that styles a casters hair to the last hairstyle that was done with the gel.

This spell was a special one created by his great-great-grandfather specifically for the Malfoy lineage to help save time getting ready (although it only saved about 30 minutes). Draco noted that the new hairstyle suited him a lot more than the one that he was used to, in fact, he liked it much more. He grinned to himself in the mirror, 16 year old him was much better looking than 12 year old him. It made him feel a lot more confident about himself.

By now, it was time for Harry to wake up. In contrast to Draco's schedule, his schedule was pretty straightforward and easy. Since classes start at 9 am, he would wake up, cast a Tempus to check the time, brush his teeth, get dressed and leave. If he decided that he was going to take a shower in the morning it was usually a short 5-10 minute shower, however, today he decided against it. Today, since he was staying somewhere new, it took Harry a while just to realise where he was and once he did, he noticed that there was a missing Malfoy.

He shrugged it off and decided to continue on with his day, walking into the bathroom where he saw Malfoy checking himself out in the mirror. Chuckling, Harry decided to mess with him. He snuck behind him, crouching so he couldn't be seen. Draco, who was completely unaware of Harry's plans, innocently turned around. Harry seized the moment to jump up and mess Draco's hair up, laughing wholeheartedly as Draco stood frozen in shock. "You should've seen your face" Harry said, trying to catch his breath between words. Draco huffed. He was finally glad that his great-great grandfather came up with a spell instead of manually having to fix his hair.

Draco then stepped out of the bathroom to wait for Harry to finish getting ready. unlike Draco he was in and out of the bathroom within about 15-20 minutes. Surprised, Draco gave him a once over and decided that it just wasn't good enough. "You're going out like that?" he asked, seriously judging the golden boy. "Yeah, why?" Harry questioned. He had been following this routine since he was in 2nd year after he was told off by Ron about not taking his time in the bathroom. When Harry was living with the Dursley's, he was only allowed a 5 minute shower and 2 minutes to look presentable so he was surprised when Ron approached him about it. Since he had started to take his time, Harry was confused as to why Draco thought he didn't look presentable.

Draco sighed. "Get back in the bathroom, your head looks like a mop and your bed-head doesn't help", he pushed Harry back in the bathroom, ignoring his protests. Draco quickly grabbed a bottle of gel that he had, he had bought it because it was invented by the Potter lineage but never had to use it because he didn't have unruly hair, but this was the perfect time to experiment.

He poured a dollop of the gel into his hand and started applying it to Harry's head. Within a few minutes Harry's hair had started looking more presentable and Draco was satisfied. "Next time if you want I can have my hairdresser cut your hair so you can look more handsome" he smiled, not realising the meaning of his words. He put the stuff back and walked out leaving a confused Harry still in the bathroom.
