I slowly started waking up when I heard someone knocking on the door

Then Von comes in saying "alright sis you ready to go?"

I started freaking out realizing I overslept knowing I have to be at work at 8am

I grabbed my phone to check the time and it was 3:17am

"Oh my gosh yes I need to get home so I can wake up at 6:45 for work" I exclaimed

"Okay then get yo ass up, you the one in here catching hella z's and shit...soon enough you won't even have to be working like this baby sis" he responded laughing

Durk suddenly appeared out of nowhere and said "you know y'all can stay tonight if you want since it's so late"

"Oh no, I have to be at work at 8 and this would be a really far drive. We can just..." I replied but was cut off as usual

"Why don't you just take the day off, I'll pay you instead" Durk replied with a big smirk on his face

"It's not that easy..as promising as that sounds" I smiled

"Just call off in the morning, I got you" he smiled and pulled out 1,000 dollars

My jaw dropped and I shook my head no

He walked over to me and placed the money in my hand and I immediately looked up at him with tears in my eyes

"Don't cry" he said rubbing my shoulder

"You really don't have to..." I responded quietly "no one has ever done anything like this for me"

"Well we are family right?" he asked

"I guess so yeah...maybe you aren't an asshole" I laughed and jumped up to hug him "thank you so much, you don't understand what this means to me"

He hugged me back tightly and whispered "you're welcome" in my ear

I pulled away with the biggest smile on my face and said "I mean I could just text my boss...we are pretty cool so I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I literally never take a day off so..."

"Maybe that's the problem, working too damn much. You never wanted to start a business or something? I could help you invest in it." Durk asked

I was super shocked at Durk's generosity as he was not this kind at first. As I was texting my boss saying I needed tomorrow off he quickly responded saying it's totally fine. I wonder what he's doing up so late...

"I have considered starting a fitness clothing line but never really put much effort into it, I guess because I don't have the time. However, I love to go to the gym it's one of my only escapes. But wow he already texted me back...can't believe he's okay with me taking another day off. Must be because he...well...nevermind" I smiled and put my phone down

"He WHAT?" Von asked and Durk just stared

"Haha well I think he likes me but the feelings aren't mutual" I replied

"You still talking to Michael?" Von asked

"Who is Michael?" Durk quickly asked

"My manager at the bank" I laughed

"Oh...you like him or somethin" Durk replied

"I don't ... we are just friends" I blushed and changed the subject "Do you have a girl Mr. Durkio?"

"What's up with all these damn nicknames?" he laughed "and nah I don't..."

Von looked at him and bursted out laughing
