E and Lia continued to head to Laverre City. Earlier E had gotten hungry, so Lia had given her a candy bar, which turned out to be a grave mistake. Whenever E and sugar mixed, it could never be good, almost like driving when you're drunk. E had turned into a complete giggly mess, annoying Lia whenever she could.
"Le-Le are we there yet?", E asked for the sixteenth time in the past five minutes. On the outside, Lia was handling it pretty well but on the inside, she was screaming.
"I told you that we will arrive in about thirty minutes", Lia said, clenching her teeth tightly together.
"You seem grumpy...", E remarked with a soft voice, leaning her forehead closer to Lia's to the point of them almost touching.
"I'm fine", Lia answered unconvincingly, backing away from E slightly. "Just tired that's all"
"Do you want to take a small break?"
"I'm ok"
"Ok..."
[about 30 min later]
"Yay, we finally made it!!!!", E said, happily jumping around.
"Finally"
