AJ's POV

I woke up with a horrible headache. My head hurt so badly that I could feel the back of my eyes throbbing. I tried to open them but it only hurt more. Sitting up required a lot of strength too.

My body was so weak that I couldn't lift myself up.

Looking to my left, I realised that I wasn't at home. I closed my eyes and tried to recall the last thing that took place.

Of course I wasn't at home. I came back to campus. But then again this isn't my dorm room.

I tried harder to sit up but everything hurt so badly that I groaned in pain.

"Shit." Someone cursed. "Lie down."

I looked up and stared at a blurry figure. After blinking a few times, the figure finally became clear.

"R...Rylen?"

"Yes." He said quietly and carefully. I squinted at him and looked around. Now I was confused. Before I could ask anything, he have me a glass of water. I took it from him and drank the whole glass wishing it would wash away the headache.

"What do you remember?" He leaned towards me after he pulled up a chair and sat beside the bed.

"Where am I?" I asked him instead. Why was I with him? Why didn't I go to Willow and Noah first?

"You're in my room. Now answer my question."

"Why am I here?"

"AJ tell me what's the last thing you remember and we'll go from there."

"I...I remember coming back to campus. I was walking to class. Then...... nothing." I held my head and face contorted in pain.

"I'll bring you some aspirin." I lied down again after not being able to sit up.

"Here take these." Rylen gently pushed the pills into my mouth. With much difficulty, I sat up once more and swallowed the pills with some water before lying down again.

"You passed out just before walking into the building for your morning class. Jaxon found you on the ground." He said slowly, waiting for my reaction.

I didn't have any. I didn't feel anything but the pain in my head. I just wanted to sleep. I didn't want to talk. I didn't want to be around anyone.

"I'll go back to my room." I said with no emotion.

"You are in no position to go back. Stay until you feel better."

"I shouldn't be troubling anyone."

"You're not." He snapped at me. Normally I would pull out a string of insults but at that moment, nothing came to mind. He didn't even affect me. "I'm sorry about what happened. I'm sorry about Cora. She was a good friend to me. But I know you guys were close."
His voice faded after a few words. I couldn't hear anything. It was like I was drifting away.
