"The first debut member is..." Namgoong Min spoke up after a long pause.

I bit my lips in anticipation.

This is it. The results, that will decide your future.

I felt my eyelashes absorb the sweat that gradually fell from my forehead.

"The member of ENHYPEN, who was fifth in global voting is..."

SHOOT me I can't handle this ahhjsjsjk.

A long pause.

The audience were silent and nervous.

Who'd be the first member? Fuck, I'm gonna shit myself if this man doesn't hurry up. Seriously, why is he taking so much time? My heart can't take this-

"The fifth-"

I heard the audience applauding, the judges, the fans, oh and TXT too- and the fucking greatest BTS. Yongho looked so proud as he smiled widely, and my breath hitched as realization kicked in.

It was me.

I closed my eyes and processed it all in.
The feeling was ethereal- achieving what you've wanted since years. The struggle. The pain. The crying. The tears. Everything was worth it.

My friends rushed to hug me, and I couldn't hold in my tears.

"....First, thanks Producer Bang for making my dream come true. There were many hard d-days," I stammered.

"but I'm glad I made it. I will try to show a..better version of myself. Thank you to everyone who voted."

Everyone applauded. Bang Si-Hyuk looked proud. I was happy.

YOOJIN'S POV

When the top 5 were announced, I almost gave up on my hopes.

I couldn't bring my eyes upon Sunghoon, because he looked so terrified and hopeless. I could understand what he must've felt like. His head hung down and he looked so anxious, with fright and guilt- because he has given his everything to be here.

He left figure skating, that he pursued for 11 straight years and that was already the toughest decision he has ever made. Leaving all of that behind, that's a HUGE risk anyways.

His parents were with us too, watching the live, since we're really close. His dad was crossing his index and middle finger in hope. His mother was on the verge of tears.

A few seconds past, and she did cry, but those were happy tears.

Park Sunghoon debuted.

The joy that filled my heart at that moment was immeasurable.

HEESEUNG'S POV

The other members were announced too, and all of them gave their speech.

Jungwon
Jay
Jake
Ni-ki
Sunghoon and
Sunoo.

All of us cried in K hyung's arms backstage, because all of us knew we're gonna miss him terribly. He was and always will be our big brother and I know he's gonna debut soon, he HAS too, otherwise I will burn down mnet.

"Dani.." I cried, holding him in my embrace. It seemed the other way round though, since he was towering above me.
"Congratulations Hyung! You deserve it.." he sniffled. I knew he was broken inside, his fingers were shaking. I prayed silenty that he'd debut soon, the talent shouldn't go to waste, no matter what.

We hugged all the other I-Landers, all of us made great memories together and all of us will grow together to have a successful future. We exchanged numbers so that we could create a gc.

"I-Land was the greatest experience I've ever had, not gonna lie." Kyungmin said, and we nodded in agreement.
