The king has seen a portrait.
Of a woman named Anne of Cleeves.
Her painting, by Hans Hoblein the Younger,
Is a beautiful one, I will say.
The king immediately sends for her.
Is she like Helen of Troy?
One look at her, and you know she is divine?
What if she is not like her photo?
Will the king only go by her looks?
Does she have a good character?
I hope she is unlike the last queen named Anne.
That is if,
The king goes through with this.
Will she like it here in England?
Will she share to me,
What it is like living in the German states?
Will she be kind to Mary, Elizabeth, and Edward?
How will her rule be?
We haven't had a foreign queen since Queen Catherine,
And poor Mary,
Being forced to be a servant for her sister.
Elizabeth has not done anyone any harm.
