•The big performance begins•

Jack POV

New Orleans, 10 minutes before the theater was being opened for the audience to get it

20 minutes before show start

I was so excited for the show to start, but it still was too early, so I went to check on (Y/n)

She was sitting on a couch, looking at a picture. I can closer to her, but as I did, she put the photo away

"Unm, hey", she smiled

"Everything alright?", I asked worried

"Yeah, just nervous about the show, y'know?", She chuckled

But even though she was smiling at me, I knew something was off

"Something's wrong, right? C'mon (Y/n) you can tell me", I looked at her

She sighed, "Remember the interrogation room?"

I nodded

"So, Agent Rhodes...he mentioned my parents, and...", She stopped

"What about them?"

"I lost both of them when I was a kid...", She said, "I haven't really thought about them since we became a group, but when he said that, it hit me hard"

"(Y/n)... I'm sorry..."

"Nah, it's okay, really", she smiled, "I just- I wish they could see what I have done in life, y'know? Be proud?"

"I'm sure they would be so proud of you", I smiled at her

Now, she pulled the photo out again and showed me

"The day we took this...was the day they performed their last trick", she told me, "and I've been wondering, if we will continue to be a group after this is done"

"I don't know about the others...but I want to stay a group!", I said, "I feel like this is the best that ever happened to me"

I wasn't really talking about the magic, but more about meeting her. But obviously, I couldn't tell her that

"Yeah, me too", she smiled, "if the others refuse, we could do a show together"

"Hm, good idea", I said, "(Y/n) and Jack, the invincible duo"

"Okay that's a horrible name", she laughed

"That's the laugh I wanted to hear! Now, let's get ready for tonight", I said, standing up

"Jack", (Y/n) called me, "thanks again"

"No problem", I smirked, "jacket girl"

That made her laughed she rolled her eyes, "I'm never getting used to that"

"Sorry to interrupt you two lovebirds-", Merritt suddenly entered

As he said that, I got as red as a tomato

"I-"

"Merritt!"

"We're not-", I started

"-a couple", (Y/n) finished

"Of course not, you just finish each other's sentences", he rolled his eyes, "anyways, I called to say it's time"

I looked at (Y/n) once again, "you're ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be", she smirked, "let's show these people some of our magic"

(Y/n) POV

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Savoy management welcomes you to tonight's special performance, The Four Horsemen, Act Two. Unlike traditional performances, The Four Horsemen encourage you to film, call your friends, upload, stream, and tweet the show freely. Thank you. The show will begin in a few minutes"
