Chapter 5: Bros!

 Mondo woke up earlier than usual, so he got ready early and got greeted by a happy hall monitor waiting for him by the door.

"Good morning bro!" Taka greeted.

"Oh, morning to ya too bro." Mondo responded, amused by the fact Taka was so cheerful.

"Today is a Saturday! We can spend time together all day!" Taka said happily.

"Yeah! But, let me introduce you to my friends first." Mondo said.

"Of course!" Taka said and happily followed Mondo like a little puppy to find his friends. They soon found then near the courtyard.

"Hey Mondo! Oh! You have someone with you!" Leon greeted his friend.

"Yeah! Guys meet Taka. The guy that helped me with my tests!" Mondo introduced Taka.

"Hello everyone! I hope we can get along!" Taka said.

"Oh! Hey Taka! Nice to see ya again!" Leon said patting Taka's back.

"It seems like you two got along!" Fuyuhiko said shocked.

"Yeah! Mondo used to hate Taka!" Kazuichi added.

"Well, I changed my mind! He's now my bro!" Mondo said, wrapping an arm around Taka's shoulder. The six boys started talking to eachother until one of them suggested to hang out in the gym, to work out and get their gains on. They all agreed and went to the gym right away. Luckily, no one was at the gym at that time so the six boys get the gym all to themselves. After they all changed into their gym clothes, they all started working out.

"Hey Mondo. Are you strong enough to lift this?" Leon said while pointing at one of the biggest weights in the room.

"Easy." Mondo said as he lifted the weight effortlessly.

"Wow, you're really strong bro!" Taka complimented.

"Thanks bro." Mondo said putting the weight down.

"How much can you lift bro?"

"I'm almost as strong as you bro!" Taka responded.

"What? You're kidding!" Kazuichi said shocked.

"You look about as strong as Fuyuhiko!" He added.

"I will rip your guts out!" Fuyuhiko threaten which made Soda flinched.

"Can you really lift that much bro?" Mondo asked looking at his Taka.

"Yeah! Watch!" Taka said as he went to a big weight and lifted it up like how Mondo did.

"Woah! You're really strong!" Yasuhiro said surprised. 

"WHAT!? But..., you look so skinny and weak..." Kazuichi said.

"Yeah... If you're that strong... then... where are your muscles?" Fuyuhiko said while raising and eyebrow.

"I do have them! I guess my clothes hide them pretty well." Taka answered.

"Then... why can't you defend yourself?" Mondo asked this bro.

"Because I think violence should only be used as a last resort!" Taka responded.

"Okay...? Actually what was I expecting, you're the 'Ultimate Moral Compass'." Mondo said.

"Also, you should probably refrain from violence more. It's not good beating people to a pulp and it's also against the rules." Taka lectured.

"Hmmm, I'll try... Maybe." Mondo said looking away. "You sound like a concerned mom." He added.

"Well, my father did say I reminded him of my mother. So I got it from her." Taka responded.

"Hey guys, I'm tired from working out. Let's go hang out at a café or something." Kazuichi suggested.

"We've only been working out for 30 minutes!" Mondo responded.

"Yeah... but I'm tired and pretty hungry." Soda said quietly.

"You pussy." Leon mocked.

"Hey! You're no better than me!" Soda yelled back.

"Don't fight you two! It's not allowed in a school environment!" Taka scolded the two boys who are just arguing with each other, to the point where Mondo had to step in to stop them from their insult battle.

"You two fight like little kids." Fuyuhiko insulted.

"Says Baby Gangster." Leon said back.

"What the fuck did you just say asshole!?" Fuyuhiko screamed.

"Stop fighting! Let's just go to the cafeteria to get something to eat and settle things down!" Taka yelled.

"Yeah, I agree with you bro." Mondo said.

"Fine, I'm in the mood for some snacks." Fuyuhiko said.

"Alright! Let's go to the cafeteria!" Taka said as he marched to the changing rooms, the other boys following him. 'What a dork.' Mondo thought of his bro. 'So cheerful and cute. Did I just call him cute again!? Come on Mondo! Think straight!' Mondo told himself. By the time he could snap back to reality, Taka had dragged him to the cafeteria with the others.

"Bro! Are you okay? You haven't said anything since we went into the changing rooms!" Taka snapped Mondo out of his dazed.

"Oh, I'm fine. Just thinking." Mondo responded to the shorter boy.

"What are you thinking about?" Taka asked looking up at Mondo with his ruby eyes.

"Nothing important..." Mondo answered.

"Okay then..." Taka said. The six boys began cooking some food for themselves, since the cafeteria staff doesn't work on weekends. You would think that would be a recipe for the fire alarm to be set off, but the walls and floor are fire-proof and some students are not allowed in the kitchen due to their lack of cooking talent. Which was true for Yasuhiro and Leon, who had to wait outside. After they all finished their food. The group of boys went on to do other things throughout the day like watching Leon's baseball game, have Yasuhiro read their fortunes, watch Fuyuhiko threaten people who called him 'baby gangster' or 'boss baby'. They all had a great day together.

"Hey Taka, you should eat with us at lunch time from now on. You always sit alone at the courtyard anyway." Leon suggested.

"I'd love to sit you guys. Hanging out with you all is a lot of fun!" Taka answered.

"Then it's settled! Taka is the newest edition to our group and we happily accept you!" Yasuhiro cheered.

"His influence on you made you more formal." Kazuichi said mockingly.

"At least being formal is better than being you." Fuyuhiko said.

"Hey! That's mean!" Soda said back.

"You two fight too much." Taka said.

"Don't forget about Leon." Mondo added.
