He looks at Sam in disbelief, then back at the still-oozing wall. Then, seeming to come to a decision, back at Sam.
DEAN (CONT.)
I'm going after him.
SAM
(incredulous)
No... No, Dean. No you're not.
DEAN
That little kid is in there!
(beat)
And so is... So is
SAM

Dean doesn't respond, but his eyes say it all.
SAM (CONT.)
You're not going in there.
Dean puts a hand on Sam's shoulder, firmly. Looks him in the eye.
DEAN
You make sure that boy, Ryan- You make
sure him and his mom are safe.
SAM
No, no, no. Stop, okay. Just- just
stop.

Tears have begun to form in Sam's eyes, and Dean's voice shakes as well.
DEAN (CONT.)
And you're stronger than me. You
always have been.
SAM

DEAN
Just listen
SAM
No, Dean. You listen. That's a bunch
of crap, okay? We've... You've come ______
too far to be spouting that- that self
degrading bullshit. You know you're
worth more than that, so just... Stop.
We'll find another way.
The black puddle on the wall is starting to shrink. Dean glances over at it.
DEAN
