Kartik went towards the Tulsi plant where a box full of vermillion was kept,he simply took a pinch of it and headed towards Jiya(Naira) and ended up filling her hairline with a lateral stripe of vermilion. She stood their numb, clueless, expressionless and trying to figure out what just happened...
Kartik(with a determined face) - She is my wife now... biwi hai ab yeh meri... jis kisi ko jo bhi kehna hai sidhe sidhe mujhse kahiye...
The local people stayed silent and kept looking at each other.
Kartik-To kisi ko kuch kehna hai...? Agar nhi to(by joining his palms🙏🙏)..aap log ja sakte hain
Local people started to leave by giving a weird sympathetic look to Jiya(Naira) which didn't go unnoticed by neither Jiya(naira) herself nor Kartik and Surekha. Just after the crowd left, Surekha dragged Kartik inside the Aashram to a room and locked it while Jiya(Naira) on the other side who was left alone at the moment couldn't take all this and fainted out of stress and probably shock too after a few minutes which no one registered.
In the room Surekha took Kartik to,
Surekha-Yeh sab kya hai Kartik..?.. Aise kaisetune Jiya se shadi kar li..?
Kartik-To aur kya krta main Choti Maa...ek ladhki ki izzat aise bhare bazar me logo ko uchalne deta kya..?
Surekha-Izzat bachane ke aur bhi tarike hain..ye koi baat ni hui.!.. taish mein aake tune yeh faisla bas aise hi kar liya..bas bina kuch soche samjhe.. jake uski maang bhar di..ye koi upay hai..konsa tarika hota h ye.. ek jabardasti ke rishte se bacha kar laya tha usse aur dusre vaise hi jabardasti ke rishte mein bandh diya usse..
Kartik-Main aur kya krta Choti Maa...mujhe uss waqt jo bhi sahi laga maine wohi kar diya..
Surekha-Acha.!.. To izzat bachane ke liye tune uski zindagi kharab kar di..?.. yahi kehna chah ra hai na tu..
Kartik-Nahi..Choti Maa.. Aisa kuch nhi hoga.. Main nahi kharab hone dunga Jiya ki zindagi
Surekha-Acha kaise..?.. aur tu mujhe pehle yeh bta..ki tu to Naira se pyaar karta hai na phir Jiya se shaadi...kyun Kartik..kya ab tu Naira se pyaar ni karta..ya..phir tu..
Kartik-Aisa nhi hai Choti Maa..main aaj bhi sirf aur sirf Naira se hi pyaar karta hu.. hmesa se ussi se karta aaya hun aur aage bhi hmesa sirf ussi se karta rahunga..!
Surekha-Phir Jiya ki zindagi ka kya Kartik.. uska kya hoga aage.. kaise sawarega uski zindagi.. bta mujhe.. kaise khush rhegi wo aage.. bol.. kya krega tu iss bare mein.. kya socha hai tune..?
Kartik-Honestly, Choti Maa..Maine..maine.. abhi.. kuch bhi aisa.. socha to nahi hai.. parr.. Choti Maa trust me.. main.. kuch na kuch rasta jarur nikal lunga iska.. i promise..!
Surekha wasn't really looking like she's convinced with anything that Kartik said. It's not like she didn't trust him or has a doubt on him,it's just that she herself wasn't really sure about any of the things that were happening all around.
Kartik(By holding her hands in his)-Choti Maa.. pls trust me.. mujh par itna to bharosa rakhiye na.. main sab kuch thik kar dunga..(with pleading eyes).. pls Choti Maa..
Looking at his pleading eyes and face which all were trying to convey a single message of him being truthful so, she gave up and passed a slight smile with a nod showing that she agrees to him which took his confidence to another level.
Before they could have any further discussion there was a knock at door which when answered, stood there a young boy from the aashram who informed them that Jiya has fainted. Listening to this, without wasting a single minute both Kartik and Surekha rushed towards Jiya(Naira).
When they reached the place where Jiya(Naira) was being examined, Kartik noticed that the one having a stethoscope i.e. the person who was being called the Doctor was not really giving a vibe of actually being a Doctor. Later, after asking Mr. Negi about the person he got to know that the one Jiya is being examined by is one of the local Doctors who also happens to be one of their neighbours and also, the only Doctor in the radius of 6kms.
Later, when the Doctor left on informing them that Jiya(Naira) has fainted because of stress and dehydration and also, telling them about a few medicines that she needs to take after she wakes up. There was a strange feeling that Kartik had about the Doctor but he just let that pass thinking that it's all just in his mind.
After a few minutes, when Jiya(Naira) woke up she was given the medicines and was sent back to having some rest. Meanwhile, In another room
Surekha-Kartik.!..mujhe lagta h.. tumhe aur Jiya ko Banglore ke nikalna chahiye..
Kartik-Choti Maa..!?
Surekha-Kartik..baat ko samjh yaha rehna safe nahi hai tum dono hi ke liye..Thakur ke gunde kabhi bhi aa sakte hain aur hume jaldi karna chahiye.. tum dono ko yaha se jana padega.. kissi safe jagah parr.. aur Banglore se jyada safe kya hi hoga tum dono ke liye.. islie.. av ke liye tum dono chale jao.. fir thode time me jab maamla thanda ho jaega.. fir aage ki sochenge..thk hai..
Kartik-Ji..thik hai Choti Maa.!.. to main flight tickets book kar deta hun.!
Surekha-Nhi.!.. flight se ni..Thakur ke aadmi airport, railway station aur bus stand sbse pehle jaenge to waha se nhi..tumlog by road jao.. phle Chandigarh aur fir waha se flight kar lena.. wo bhi suno.. NH3 aur NH154 wala rasta nhi.. balki NH3 aur Una-Jaha-Nerchowk Road wala jo rasta hai.. usse jao.. wo lamba padta hai to log aksar baaki dono raaston ko prefer krte hain.. ispe kam hi log jate hain.. jo achi baat hai
Kartik-Thik hai, Choti Maa.. hum ussi raste se jaenge jisse aapne kaha hai
Surekha-To thik hai phir.. Jiya ke uthte hi tumlog Chandigarh ke liye phoran niklo..
Almost 10 minutes later, all the arrangements were made and after bidding their goodbye, they were all set to leave for Chandigarh in a Black Lamborghini Urus which was waiting for them at the Aashram gate.
