Today, since basically all of the spots for the main award are taken (go grab that action/adventure space) I'm going to be sharing with you the judging rubrics!

Please, if you have a problem or suggestion with them, let me know in the comments or PMs. 

You do not have to answer each question or fulfill all categories as long as you are judging each book the same and out of 100 total points.

-Novels-

Cover: 5 points

- Is it easy to read?

- Does it match the story?


Title: 5 points

- Is it intriguing?

- Does it portray the story well?


Blurb: 10 points

- Does it make you want to read the story?

- Is it well written/the right length?


Grammar/Vocabulary: 10 points

- Is it clear and understandable?

- Is there variation in the wording?


Spelling and Punctuation: 10 points

- Is there a notable amount of spelling errors?

- Is punctuation being used correctly?


Creativity/Originality: 15 points

- Does the writer's voice come through?

- Is the story interesting and imaginative?


Plot: 15 points

- Does the story flow well/no plot holes?

- Is the plot compelling/original?


Characters: 10 points

- Were the characters well portrayed/humanized?

- Is there an empathy and connection between the characters and the readers?


Overall Review: 20 points

- Did you enjoy the story?

- Was it well written?

- How could the author improve their book?

- Was the poem(s) well written and organized?

- Did the author communicate with the readers?
