Zhongli walked through the liyue harbor like any other regular day

Asking around how all the shops were doing, and looking around to see order

"Mr. Zhongli good morning" the tall man turned around to see his assistant y/n

Y/n was one of his best workers, she was quiet and so diligent in her work

She held her book to her chest tightly almost like as a reassurance for something

"Good Morning y/n, how's the report" y/n snapped out of her thoughts when she heard that beautiful and low voice of her boss

"Oh right I came here for that reason here you go, the report of all the witnesses statements on what happened" y/n handed the book to Zhongli to which he returned his gratitude by placing his big hand on y/n's head

"Thank you dear, I'll get to it immediately" he shared a small smile which made y/n feel hear reaching up to her cheeks

"I'll be going now, I have more work to do sir."y/n gave a little bow but when she left she didn't notice that the note in her pocket has fallen off

" Y/n wait" but it was too late, she has already left the area when Zhongli picked up the note

"A confession?" Zhongli continued to read the piece of paper

"I have had feelings for him for a while now, how he's so good with speaking with people. When I join him in his little adventures he is able to talk to so many citizens it's amazing to watch in the side" Zhongli didn't realise he was in the middle of the crowd, so he went to a secluded area to continue reading

"I can't get him out of my mind, how he smiles when it's about his passions. And how he's so kind to the people of liyue. I love how he knows what's right and wrong. He's smart, beautiful, a true gentleman. I just can't tell him. I'll just watch in the distance, watching him from afar is fine. And I'm sure he likes someone else. Mr, Zhongli deserves a beautiful life. And I'm not going to ruin it because I have feelings for him. I love him, I can't deny it anymore. But I can't tell him either"

He finished reading the note hands shaking

Quickly he had to look for y/n, who could be anywhere in liyue since her job was to explore different types od plats

"Ningguang have you seen y/n, I need to speak to her. It's important I do it myself" Ningguang looked at Zhongli with a small smile on her porcelain face

"I sent her to get some glaze lily's, she should be back soon" Ningguang watched the tall male left and smiled to herself

"She'll be back soon, and everything will be over" Despite the high status Ningguang treates y/n like a little sister. "My little y/n is growing up" she gave a little laugh and continued to have her evening tea

Zhongli waited by the funeral parlor hoping to see y/n pass by

"Mr. Zhongli? Its late why are you here?" he looked to his side and found a worried y/n

"I wanted to return this" he handed the folded up note

"S-sir did y-you read the not-te???" y/n started to panic a little and he needed to calm her down

He held her red cheek with his gloved hand and gave a kiss on her forehead

"M-mister Z-zhongli?" he gave y/n a small smile before kissing her cheek making the poor girl blush even darker

"Does this answer your question my dear?" y/n could only look down in embarrassment, but she loved this quiet moment between the two

"Look up please, and no need for the formalities" Zhongli places his index and thumb on y/ns chin and directed her to his eyes

"I love you too" Zhongli held her waist with one arm and pulled her closer to the kiss he started

Y/n's eyes widened with shock but happiness in the form of tears fell down her skin

"My work here is done" Ningguang watched from the jade palace smiling at the two who shared their love in silence

"Have a good life my dear y/n, after all of your hard work you deserve the love of your life"
