Part Three, Night One, After Capture

With the door locked,

And me bound to the bed,

Terrible thoughts

Filled me with dread.

"Will this be my end?"

 I ask in fear.

"Certainly not,

Unless love kills you, dear."

When I finally realized

What he was going to do,

 I did not know

 If his reasons were true.

"Really, you love me?"  

"Of course I do.

You wouldn't be alive

If I didn't love you."

"Can you be gentle  

WIth a girl like me?"  

"I'll try my best, but

There's no guarantee.

"HIdan, I'm scared,

 Please change your mind."

"There's no going back girl,

But I'll try to be kind."

He had promised me forever

In a literal sense,

If I followed his religion

Which seemed quite intense

I shiver and tremble, 

For I have reached my fate,

With a beautiful Jashinist,

My eternal soul mate.

HIs hands are so gentle,

It was quite a shock.

I laid there in silence,

Save the sound of the clock.

Later, much later,

While breathless I lay,

I listen to the sounds

Of a new-coming day.

I lay there quiet,

With thoughts swirling round,

I relive the events
