6. Davina

James POV,

Lily opened the window wide and was feeling the breeze hitting on her face. She was looking so beautiful. I was driving the car with a lot of questions to ask Lily.

"Lily." I called out her name and she turned towards me. " If you don't mind, shall I ask you something? Please don't tell no."

"You asked a question to me and answered it yourself." She said and I smiled sheepishly.

" So, why did you try suicide?"

" hereafter I won't."

" But why did you do? " I insisted and she didn't answer me so I moved to the next question, " you didn't move on from Davina's death, did you?"

" How did you know about Davina? " She asked in surprise. " George must have said." She added.

"You asked me a question and answered it yourself." I intimated Lily and she smiled sheepishly intimating me. After that both of us burst into laughter. I never thought that Lily could be so friendly. "By the way , not George, your mother told me about Davina. I never knew George is aware of Davina."

" Well, George was also in Davina's birthday party that day. He was the one who took Davina to the hospital."
She had tears in her eyes while saying so.

" Um! Uh! Why were you laughing and smiling alone in the college?" I asked stammering. She didn't respond but tears leaked from her eyes. I understood her pain ." I can understand but life should move on. Stop thinking about Davina. Spend time with your family. Make new friends. Forget Davina." I said.

" I think it's enough. You are crossing your limits." She warned me.

" I know you will get angry but this is the truth and you should accept it."

" Oh James, stop it now or you will regret later." She said placing her hand on her forehead.

" Sorry but I think you should change atleast for your family."

Completely ignoring my words , she said ," Stop the car, James. I wanna eat an ice cream."

" I won't stop until I get my answers." I confirmed.

" You won't stop?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows.

"Sorry but no."

" Davina." She yelled and the car stopped all of a sudden.

I pressed the accelerator hard but it was of no use. I looked at Lily who was smirking at me. " How did the car stop?" I asked.

" I stopped it." Answered a voice from the back seat.

I was sure that only I and Lily got into the car. This brought me more fear. Lily was about to get down from the car when I caught her hand and pulled her back.

"What?" She yelled out of frustration.

" Did you hear any voice?"

" Yes! Davina's."

"Davina?"

"Yeah, look back." Lily said and I turned my head towards the back seat slowly in fear.

As soon as I saw the person in the backseat, I barged out of the car and went far from there but still I could see the car.

The person I saw in the backseat was Davina. I was sure that was Davina as I saw her picture in Lily's photo album.

"Hey! That's Davina. Come here girl." I shouted gesturing Lily to come to me.

She locked the car, took the keys which I left inside the car and came towards me running."What the hell! Why are you shouting?"

"Oh Really? You don't know why I'm shouting? How is Davina here?"

" I already warned you not to cross your limits as she was there but you kept on insisting me to forget her."

" Oh! That.... Okay, my mistake but tell me how is she here?"

" I'm here since I died." Answered the same voice. I turned and saw Davina standing right beside me. I felt my breath was stopped for few seconds. Then I rushed behind Lily and hid in her back.

"James, you are neither a kid nor this is your home. Behave properly." Lily ordered me.

" I'm the only one here behaving properly. This is the reaction of a normal person when he sees a ghost. But you know what? You are unbelievable." I whispered in Lily's ears.

" I know that everything around me is unbelievable but there is no need for getting scared by Davina."

" Oh Really?"

" Yes. She won't harm you."

" First tell me one thing. Why no one is getting scared in her presence?"

" Because they can't see her."

" Then how could we?"

" I'll explain you everything but not here. Get into the ice cream plaza. "

" I won't. What if your ghost friend kills me?"

"She won't. I promise."

" Then you go first and I will follow you." I said and Lily agreed.

She started walking towards the ice cream plaza and I went behind her catching her shoulders. When I saw Davina coming behind me, I was quick to move beside Lily and caught her hand as tight as I could.
