My Friend Is A Ghost

22. Movie time

James POV,

I wonder what happened to George and Clara all of a sudden. I'm sure something relates here with Stephen's murder case. I'll surely find a way to know about that. I don't want  awkward moments here and so I changed the channel.

"Jam! Let's watch a movie." Said Lily waving her hands in air excitedly. I wonder how can she be so childish after going through a lot. She is so protective towards Davina and always defended her. I'm glad that now I'm also her friend.

"Which movie?" Clara asked equally excited while taking a seat in the sofa besides George.

"Anything you want." Answered Lily.

"You tell me." Said Clara looking towards George. George lifted his lowered head and looked into Clara's eyes.

"For your kind information, we told to select a movie, not to show a movie." Davina whined. Ofcouse she would, this Snow-Doll combination is a movie psycho.

"Maybe something paranormal." George said still looking into Clara's eyes. I sighed.

"Yeah! Horror! Scary!" Davina exclaimed for each and every word. Isn't it weird? A ghost is so excited to see a ghost movie. Maybe she won't be scared but I do. Today my weakness is gonna come out infront of Lily. Oh shit! But why am I over-reacting?

I played the movie ' Halloween kills' before getting seated between Davina and Lily. 🎃

The starting was quite calm for others but not me. From the very start of the movie, I felt scary. I can't help but grabbed two hands. I was not so sure whose hands were those. My eyes were fixed on the television screen.

Lily POV,

Everything seemed very right for me today except Preeti's sudden change. I  was really excited about watching a paranormal movie with my friends. Though my story is also paranormal but not scary because my friend is a ghost. When the movie started, I was internally scared but managed myself.

I was seated between James and George. Suddenly I felt a hand on mine. That hand grabbed my hand. I was sure about that hand, it's James.  I looked down to see his one hand grabbed mine whereas the other one grabbed Davina's hand. Wow! Scared of ghost and caught a ghost's hand for safety. Note the sarcasm.

I looked at James's terrified face. I badly want to tease him but I didn't do. I don't know why but I didn't. I felt him cute. Everyone else were drowning in horror of the movie but I was continuously admiring him. Suddenly I heard someone's cough. Maybe it was a fake one. I shifted my gaze to see Davina smirking at me. Oh God! She caught me but thank God! James didn't budge. What if he had caught me?

I rolled my eyes at Davina and turned towards the movie but still couldn't help taking glances at James's reactions. Looking his reactions at each horror scene was much interesting for me than the movie. However he ended up hugging my waist.

It's not that I was enjoying but I didn't felt bad either. He is so cute, caring and innocent. Wait, What the hell am I thinking? I should know my limits but I wasn't lying, did I ?Ugh! I hate my mind. It always goes out of control.

He was still hugging my waist when the movie ended. Has he planned to stay like that? Ugh! I roamed my gaze to look at others. Here, the next person I saw after James was my Doll. She was sitting in a weird position, hiding her face behind her hands. Wow! My ghost friend is feared of ghost movies. I know she was scared of ghost when she was alive but still she can't help 🤣.

Then my gaze met with Clara and George. Actually George is not afraid of ghost whereas Clara does but the sight here is really shocking. Both of them were staring the television screen with blank expressions on their face. Are they changed in past years? I don't think so. Their expressions were like they were zoomed out.

I shook James little, He jerked. Maybe he realized that he was hugging me. He was tensed. I pointed my finger towards Clara and George. He took a look towards them and then me. He gave me an assuring smile. Though I didn't know why he smiled, I smiled back at him.

"Movie is over lovebirds." He shouted making George and Clara to come back to the real world. They simply looked at as and hummed. What the hell was that? They are turning strange every passing moment.

Suddenly I remember her, Preeti. She said she'll be back in an hour but it's been 3 hours but still she isn't back. I'm scared now.

"Snow! Come with me." Saying so, James dragged me towards the kitchen. I had no idea why he did so.
I gave a questioning look when we finally reached. " I want to share something with you. Though it is unbelievable, I couldn't even ignore it.  Please help me. I couldn't share this with anyone else."

He was spilling each word with restlessness without giving me a chance to talk and so I covered his mouth with my hand. " First tell me what happened. I'll be always there to listen you."

After calming him with my words, I removed my hand. He smiled at me.

"Snow! I think George and Clara knows something about Stephen's case. They are hiding something." James said in a low and careful tone.
Me on the other side was totally messed. I stood there, looking into his eyes confused. I couldn't figure out what was going in my mind. He shook me a little. "What happened?" He asked.

"I also had the same feeling but I was scared to tell that to you. George is your brother and I thought you will stand against me if I tell that to you." I stated looking down. He cupped my face and made me look at him.

"Look, as you are there to listen to me, I'm also there to listen to you, no matter what." He said and I smiled at him. "Let's sort out this soon." He said which made me to nod.

Nobody's POV,
On the other side,

Tring...
The door bell made its noice. Clara made her way to the main door. Davina followed her.

Clara opened the door which revealed Preeti. "Where were you Preet? Lily was hella worried about you. Is everything fine?" She asked.

"Not yet but it will be fine soon Clara." Replied Preeti letting out a smirk in the direction of Davina.

Davina was shocked for a moment seeing Preeti smirk at her. Lot of doubts arised in Davina in the very moment which went unnoticed by the outer world.
