Priority

It was my special day yesterday

Everyone wished me except you

At 12 I was waiting eagerly for your message

Just one message from you at 12 would have made my day

Just two words "happy birthday"

I didn't need gifts from you

I never asked for one

But somewhere in my heart I was sure you would be amongst the first one to wish me

But you didn't

I was it " active 3 hours ago"

I was waiting for your message but it came very late

I knew from the very start we weren't meant to be together for long

I knew I won't be your priority for long

And it was ok until I saw your smiling face on my mobile

I knew from that day only

That our time of togetherness is now present in my memories

Every word that we shared meant a lot to me

But I promise our time of togetherness will be always present in my poetries

Maybe I am no more your priority

Because I know someone more important in your life has that place

But I promise you and my other friend will always be my priority

No matter what
