I kept holding my teddy in my arms and started crying

A voice entered my ears

It felt as if my teddy was talking to me

"Why are you crying?"

I said to my teddy in between sobs

"Missing my precious didi, I know she is busy but that doesn't make me miss her any less"

I squished my teddy even tighter

My teddy said

"What is your favorite word from her?"

I replied "Ladoo and I love you"

"A word from her that makes you giggle?"

"Buddu ladooo, formal ladooo and stupid ladoo"

"Why are you not able to stand strong now? When you know that she would be busy hence forth?"

"Because from the time she came in my life she has made me see how beautiful my world would be when you have friends in your life and especially best friends and now days I don't see the same beauty in my life just because I don't get to talk to her much"

"One fear that you have related to her?"

"She will forget me, she won't want me anymore in her life because I am a mad mess"

"One wish that you have?"
"I want her to be here and just give me a hug"

I started crying even more and didn't know when I drifted into slumber

But it was not late before a voice which I had never heard before and a unfamiliar yet gentle and safe touch woke me up

The voice echoed in my ears again

"Cute ladooo wake up, see who is here"

I opened my eyes and saw my precious didi standing there besides my bed with a big smile

I started crying out of happiness and gave her a tight hug

But before I could say something
I felt as if there was a voice that called me, again

"Chinmayi get up, it is 8 in the morning, I shouldn't see you sleeping for a single minute more"

I saw my mother standing besides me but I couldn't see precious didi anywhere neither was my teddy besides me

It was not long before I came to know what game my brain was playing with me

Me hugging my teddy, crying, talking to my teddy, seeing precious didi

I was dreaming all that!

After the realization stuck me I whispered to myself

"This was one of the most painful yet the best dream for me"

Love,
Chinmayi❤
